In need of a full refurbishment. Rooms very basic, scuff marks on the walls , no wardrobes, no drawers , no fridge. Nothing in the room said 4* more like 2-3* breakfast very poor overcooked eggs and bad service. Had to clear our table ourselves to sit at it. On a positive your reception staff were lovely and as helpful as they could be under the circumstances.

beautiful corner room with balcony & views of the Basilica & Assisi countryside. Nice lounge / bar area and outside terrace with splendid views. All staff- front desk, bar, cleaning- all fruendly & helpful. I will only stay here on my return visits.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Giotto twice now and it’s such a great place. The views are amazing from the room. The spa was a great way to unwind from all the walking. We had dinner there for two nights that was impressive, the duck dish was a unique dish that I thought was amazing. They also have parking, which is unique for Assisi Also even though is in a ZTL zone , it’s not photo enforced so you can drive directly to the hotel and park there.

Enjoyed a 2 day visit to Assisi and stayed at the Giotto Hotel. It was so convenient to visit the sites - all within easy walking. The view from the hotel balcony is wonderful across the valley. Enjoyed a lovely glass of wine in the evening to take it all in. Fantastic.

Great location beautiful view over the valley from balcony or if you have a valley view room.. hotel needs a total revamp, carpets are tired, decoration and communal areas very tired need a revamp and the small rooms need a major upgrade, net curtains had dirty stains.. bar closed around 9.30..

The staff were not particularly welcoming, and early check-in was refused. Despite being an Expedia Gold member, I wasn’t offered any of the listed perks, including the free drink. The location is convenient for sightseeing, and the room was decent with a spacious bathroom, but the overall experience was underwhelming.

Beautiful scenery and a welcoming staff.The hotel's central location makes it easy to visit the Basilica of St. Francis and other Assisi attractions. Wonderful views, particularly at sunrise and sunset, of the Umbrian valley and the expansive terrace. Good Breakfast: With so many options, the breakfast buffet is frequently cited as a plus.

The view and the location were beautiful and reception staff were just fine. The rooms themselves were somewhat dated though, but still comfortable. My only issue was the lack of courtesy from the bar staff. It may have been due to the fact that there was a party there are one night, but, they opened over an hour later than clearly advertised, were gruff and not friendly.

A Truly Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Assisi We had the most beautiful experience during our stay at this charming hotel in Assisi. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by the staff. The front desk team was incredibly helpful and welcoming, and even the staff who helped us with our luggage made us feel right at home. The location is absolutely perfect—just under a five-minute walk to the Basilica of Saint Francis, right in the center of the town. Everything in Assisi was easily accessible on foot, which made our days feel both relaxed and magical. Our room had a breathtaking view that we will never forget. Waking up each morning to the sight of the hills and rooftops of this sacred town, birds fluttering through the sky like dancers, and the sound of church bells ringing, everything was truly special, It exceeded all expectations. Without a doubt, we would stay here again every time we return to Assisi. It felt like a home away from home, and we are so grateful for the memories we made there.

I had a great stay with this hotel. Its an old historic building but very clean and comfortable. The view is spectacular. The staff made our stay 200% much better, specially Roland, the extra mile he put in to make sure that the guest had a wonderful experience. Will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

First of all, Assisi is a beautiful and peaceful town. Be prepared to walk up and down many hills. We came to visit soon to be Saint Carlo Acutis, and were so happy to find such a beautiful place. The Giotto is very nice with a lovely breakfast available. A restaurant on premises for dinner. There is a wonderful terrace to sit with a drink and admire the amazing view. It's a short walk, though uphill, to the town centro where there a restaurants and cafes and a lovely old Roman building which was transformed into a church. The staff was very accommodating. Overall a wonderful experience.
