My husband and I enjoyed staying two nights at Hotel Palazzo in Assisi. The location was perfect for sightseeing and walking the streets for restaurants and shopping! My husband cannot walk too far, so this central location was good for his mobility limitations. We appreciated the elevator in the hotel for him. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was well-laid out, and the room was quiet with a good view of the city below. We greatly enjoyed the included breakfast. The staff were kind and friendly.

Perhaps the step near our room 302 could have been a ramp instead--we missed seeing it a few times and nearly took a tumble.

This is a great little hotel in a great location. Our room was HUGE - so much space to spread out which is always nice when you're on a lengthy trip and want a little space. Everything was clean and staff was friendly. Our windows opened up right to the street which was fun.

Breakfast options were a little light, especially in comparison to our other locations in Italy (all small boutique hotels). Perfect excuse for a Rocciata at a local cafe.

Loved the friendly staff at this well-located hotel in Assisi.

Location was perfect. So easy to get from there to anywhere else we wanted to go in Assisi. The staff was very friendly, and everyone went out of their way to help us have a great stay.

Being in our room involved lots of steps, which made us a little uneasy. Five steps down, and then another five steps just to get in the room. Another step down, which we hadn't been warned about, right inside the door.

Very nice clean Hotel with a great staff

The staff is very accommodating. The room was clean very modest, but it’s a very old city and I didn’t expect much. I would say the biggest problem is arriving with a car, dropping off your luggage, bringing the car back to a long hike and then coming back to the actual hotel it’s just how the city is built. Other than that, it was in a great location.

Basically, if you’re coming by car, it can be very confusing and time-consuming

Probably comfortable for shorter people

The location was fantastic and the overall feel of the hotel was wonderful.

The room was ridiculously tiny as were the beds. My feet literally dangled off the edge. The beds were also just uncomfortable. Lastly, the breakfast was a bit sub-par. BC of all of this, we checked out a day early.

Top notch - perfect for short stays

Hotel itself is beautiful. Rooms small but spacious because their layout has been well thought-out, same with the adjoining bathroom which included a good hair dryer. You can adjust the airconditioning yourself which is great. Super clean hotel too. Unfortunately we did not get to get the full experience of the breakfast because we had activities/flights planned early and had to leave before it started, but the staff were super helpful and agreed to pack a small take-away bag for us with a bit of breakfast - it was delicious. The location of the hotel is perfectly in the middle of historic Assisi.

No coffe/tea making facilities in the room. Window overlooking the street could be a bit noisy sometimes but this did not take away from the experience.

A great hotel in the heart of Assisi.

The hotel is in the heart of Assisi and not far from the Basilica of St. Francis. The room was clean and spacious with a window facing the street. You can open the window to let in fresh air and to hear the sounds of Assisi. The breakfast was good and the coffee amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay again.

Breakfast was great and location can't be beat for Assisi.

Getting there and navigating the narrow streets upon arrival was difficult and parking quite the challenge. They should be more explicit that they are directing you to a free public parking area that is not affiliated with the hotel.

Quaint building. Great location for the basilica or town center. Clean facilities; helpful staff.

The hotel has three floors. To take luggage to the third floor, you need to take two elevators—one at either end of the building. We were on the top floor and I couldn’t use half of the room—the ceiling slopes down severely and I bumped my head on the ceiling several times. (I’m 6’ 2”)

The hotel is in a very good located. Breakfast was not extensive, but good enough for me.

The bathroom, like many hotels did not have an outside window and the lighting could be better, especially for shaving. The hotel did not provide the use of a clothes iron, making it impossible to remove creases for clothes having being located in a suitcase for some time. This was disappointing, as I was there for a family wedding.

Great hotel in the most beautiful location & view, at the centre of the city. Only if you are sensitive to noise, get higher floor bedrooms as the early morning noise of the street maybe disturbing. I have been at this hotel few times & I would definitely go back.

Location was excellent! it is very near the Basilca if St Francis of Assisi! The hotel and room itself is a modern but very nice modern decor. Great shower, hair blower, view, bed, and access (elevator). Finally, to make it perfect, the Staff were so friendly and accommodating.

All amazing, but if forced to make a suggestion; we could have used two pillows per person versus just one. Minor concern given overwhelming positive points.

Perfect stay in Assisi

The staff was amazing and helped us navigate the town to get to the hotel which is very close to everything you need (attractions, food, shopping). They provided great recommendations for dinner in Assisi (our best meal in all of Italy!). They provided a delicious breakfast in a cute breakfast nook. The room was large and clean with a great bathroom. The view from our room was amazing - rooftops, the street below, and a wide expanse of the valley below Assisi. The staff allowed us to keep our luggage in the check in area while we explored the town (after we had already checked out!). I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Hopefully we can come back to stay again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. Near Saint Francis Church. The Staff is 5 stars: really helpful, very nice, always helping with anything needed and always friendly. The Hotel is beautiful with a positive energy and where you feel at home. It is new and everything really clean and cosy! The room was excelent, I stayed on 303. What a view! Fantastic! And was clean and so beatiful ans well decorated! This is by far one of the best hotels in Italy Despreensious but so elegant! Breakfast was vey good! Thank you! I really enjoyed being here!
