Central accommodation in Assisi

The location and the view from the balcony were superb. The staff at reception were very hospitable and the hotel was quite clean.

Although there is a lift service, there are still quite a few steps to climb and thus, the premises might not be suitable for those with mobility issues.

Location is great, easy to find! Beautiful view from the breakfast room. The guy at the reception was very nice and helpful!

The room where checked in was missing the toilet seat, so we asked if we can change the room. We got another room that had the toilet seat but the light bulb in the room was so dark and almost red. One side of the bed didn’t have the small table and the lamps above the bed didn’t work:) at night we could barely sleep as it was very hot, we had to open the window, risking getting sick. The pillows were very flat and stiff. At the breakfast we found out that there is a coffee/tea making self service machine that no italian would ever like, and if you wanted to get a normal coffee/ espresso or a cappuccino, you would have to pay for it. Did I know about it before choosing this hotel? No. Sweet croissants with sugar on top were turned into ham and cheese sandwiches.. hmmm. I don’t think I’m a difficult guest, I just wanted some basic things..

The view of the valley below us was spectacular. We also had a great view of rooftops overlooking the valley below us from our bedroom balcony. The comfortable king-sized bed was wonderful.

Hotel Posta Panoramic was super clean, centrally located with beautiful views.

The location is perfectly spaced between Basilica of St. Chiara and Basilica of St. Francis. It's also just about 2 minutes from the center of town. We had a room with an amazing panoramic view. Breakfast was amazing. Stay was very helpful and friendly.

Beds too soft, bathrooms are very basic and old fashioned— our shower did not have a shower curtain so water went everywhere. Daily cleaning was most welcome, otherwise it would have been very unpleasant.

Breakfast was good. I would have liked more protein rather than sweet stuff. I loved the panoramic view with the sound and sights of doves all around.

That we were not in the main hotel where there was an elevator but that we were just 2 doors away from the restaurant in another building. With 6 steps to negotiate entry to our bedroom. We are in our 70s and have back problems, so lifting and wheeling luggage up and down steps was not our desire.

We stayed at Posta Panoramic Hotel with a large group the night before our wedding, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The entire team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for in every way. From the moment we arrived, we felt like more than just guests — the kindness and attention we received made a very special time in our lives even more memorable. A special thank you to Roberto, who was incredible throughout – helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly for us. The location is beautiful, the food was great, the view is beyond stunning, and the service is something we’ll never forget. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Assisi – especially if you’re celebrating something special.

Quite spectacular

It’s not every day you get to stay in a medi evil town! It was like nothing I have experienced before (especially coming from Australia). The hotel was located very close to the town square. Breakfast was the standard Italian style breakfast however the coffee was just from a push button coffee machine rather than someone making it for you so never tastes as good. Room had a beautiful view! Would recommend.

Nice, little hotel with breakfast

Nice hotel, room is big enough. Our room was upgraded to a room with a balcony. There was a little fridge in the room, and a hairdryer. No coffee making facilities. The breakfast was in the restaurant next to the hotel. It has got a nice view. There were plenty of choices. The staff was helpful, we could leave our backpacks at the reception -when we arrived before the check-in and after the check-out as well.

Not enough plugs in the room. Pillows were really flat.

The name of hotel implied great view and we booked city view. We got a view of the street which was noisy.

Underwhelming place and probably cheaper to book direct

The Aircon was working which was lucky as it was very hot. There was a water fountain to fill up bottles on the street.

The staff were not particularly friendly and they need to get someone to water pots and plants each day to make the little courtyard areas more attractive. It lets the hotel down as it looks unloved. The bathroom shower curtains are dirty and need replacing. Our bedroom was tiny and had no view. We went to the bar at 6:30pm to be told we could not have a drink or anything until 7pm. Crazy! Breakfast is nice on the terrace. Pretty basic help yourself but at least they had boiled eggs. Coffee not that good. Only a sheet so we asked for a light blanket. Very close to the central square. We parked in Giacomo parking near the basilica which was free and then 7 minutes to walk to hotel with a light overnight bag. No water in room but at least a water fountain in street outside and drinking water good in street.

Comfortable hotel with an incredible view!

Book this hotel for the VIEWS! The morning breakfast was incredible- there was a berry tart that we absolutely loved! Waking up and having coffee on our room’s balcony was heaven. The staff were polite and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect as it’s close to the town square, many restaurants and the cathedral!

The taxi costs quite a bit of money to get back down to the train station.

Breakfast needs to be improved. Fresh bread and scrambled eggs would improve breakfast. Switching off airconditioning in the room in summer is not nice! Being 'green' is not an excuse.
