Our new home in Assisi!

From the moment we booked until the moment of our departure Carmine was the ever present host. Clear and helpful directions, parking suggestions and a whatsapp number to contact for any questions. The property was well located, stylish, clean, well-located and well thought out. We arrived to beautifully packaged home made chocolates and continued to be delighted by all the extra touches. We have been to Assisi many times, but now we have a place we will always book on future return trips. Well done!

Perfect Stay in the Heart of the City – Spotless, Welcoming, and Delicious Breakfast!

We had an amazing stay! The accommodation was exceptionally clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. From the moment we arrived, the hosts gave us a warm and friendly welcome, making us feel right at home. The breakfast was excellent, fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious. The location couldn’t be better: right in the center, within walking distance to all major attractions. We truly enjoyed every moment and would definitely return on our next visit to Assisi!

A Perfect 10 in Every Way!

Lia and her husband Carmine are the sweetest, most helpful, and friendly hosts! The room we had was so comfortable with state of the art lighting and controls. The bed was so comfortable which is always a big issue for us as we live in Italy and travel constantly throughout Europe and all over Italy. Such comfort accompanied by exceptionally delicious breakfasts, a terrific location, and such dedicated hosts is a rare find. Lia made so many mouthwatering baked goods and there were eggs, sliced meats and a variety of cheeses, cucumbers, sliced tomatoes, as well as yogurt, beautiful displays of fresh fruit, nuts, and bread. Also any kind of coffee - cappuccino, espresso, americano and a variety of teas. Everything was served in pretty dishes and the attention to detail in every aspect from room to breakfast was amazing! Lia even made an absolutely gorgeous and delicious cake for my husband's birthday with a candle and a gold decoration saying "Happy Birthday!" Easy access to everything with great restaurants and shops just steps away. This place is a perfect 10 in every respect!

The B&Bi is marvelous. The interior is sleek and comfortable at the same time. The linens and towels are superior. The beds are amazing. Carmine and his wife could not be more friendly snd helpful. This is a GREAT place to stay.

We liked the spacious room, modern design and yet a glimpse into history in the form of exposed old stone walls. Wonderful location in the city center just several minutes from the Basilica of St. Francis. The hospitality of the place is excellent.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel, and it truly made my visit to Assisi memorable. The hosts, a very warm and helpful husband and wife team, make you feel completely welcome - like staying at home, but with all the comfort and convenience of a hotel. Over the days, we even became friends, as they are genuinely kind and openhearted people who added so much to my Assisi experience. The building itself is elegantly renovated from a traditional Assisi-style home featuring original Roman and medieval walls. The decor is perfectly balanced: modern comfort blended beautifully with rustic historical charm. The location couldn't be better. It is right in the center of town, close to everything, including the main square, as well as many excellent restaurants and shops. Breakfast is excellent, with owner's home-baked goodies filling the hotel with a wonder aroma the day before. There are also plenty of fresh and healthy options each morning. I couldn't have been happier with my stay - This wonderful stay made my time in Assisi truly special.

Simply phenomenal and beautiful

My friend was celebrating his almost 50th birthday. They made him feel so special, especially when they brought out a little homemade cake and put a candle on it. This place is all around special and after being in Assisi dozens of times, this place is my new favorite. The place felt more like home due to their generous hospitality.

Portica 10 is a tasteful mix of modern and ancient architecture and comfortable accommodations.

Portica 10 showcased the very old tastfully blended with very modern decor and fixtures. Its location in the center of the town of Assisi, near the central plaza and right across from a great cafeteria made it easy to find restaurants and key tourist sites. Access to the front door and room by key card was a plus. The hosts were very helpful and even requested taxis for us. The breakfast was beautifully presented with a variety of fruit, breads, cereal, fresh orange juice, and, of course, cappuccino (not included in cost of room).

For senior ladies, the hikes up and down in the hilltown of Assisi to visit the key sites were a challenge. Portica 10 is located on a hilly street.

My stay at Portico 10 was the best of the five stays in my vacation.

The breakfast was 5-star! The location was close to shopping, restaurants and religious sites. I loved everything about the stay at Portico 10 and at the top of the list are the gracious hosts!

Exceptional! We highly recommend this hotel.

The husband and wife hosts, Carmine and Lia were super nice and extremely helpful and accommodating. We loved the breakfast! The homemade breads, fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee drinks were all made to order. Lia makes the most wonderful breads and sweet treats. Carmine helped us with carrying our luggages all the way up to the 3rd floor. We loved the modern yet simple elegance of the hotel, and the fact that there were only a few rooms. We couldn't ask for a better stay. We definitely would stay at this place again and recommend to our friends and family.

The only issue was that the electrical outlet in the bathroom wasn't working. I had to blow dry my hair using the outlet in the bathroom hall which was slightly inconvenient since there was no mirror. I'm sure that if I addressed it, Carmine would immediately fix the outlet, but I didn't bother to bring it up since we were only there for 2 nights. Plus, this was a very minor issue compared to everything else that was outstanding.

We had a wonderful stay .

Love the beautiful contemporary interior design. Sleek and clean cut. One of a kind. And all furnitures are in the right places. My husband and I feel very comfortable . Our hosts are lovely and accommodating. Introduced us to a driver who did most of our transfer. All on time and easy communication. Breakfast was a ‘wow’. Way too many good items to mention . From home made bread, cookies, fresh ripen sweet fruit, to scrambled eggs. All perfectly done. And all the eateries they recommended were good. From gelato, pastry (quick lunch) to restaurant. Just mind that the bathroom door is made of semi see-through glass. Meaning there is no privacy .

Portico10 is the cherry on top - Amazing B&B!!

We loved everything! Owners, Lea and Carmine, were wonderful hosts. Their property is well kept and our room (Suite) was spacious! The style is a great mix of modern and old world - everything is completely new and recently renovated, preserving all of the old stonework. They even have a rooftop terrace that is beautiful to catch some sun or watch the sunset! The place spotless! The breakfast was truly wonderful. Lea calls it a continental breakfast but this is an underestimation! It exceeded our expectations!! Everything sweet and savoury was homemade daily by Lea. They had a beautiful spread of various fruits, breads, sliced meats, cereals, sweets such a cookies, loaves, cakes, homemade jams, and each morning they have fresh eggs. If you’d like them cooked a certain way they will make it for you. Also wonderful coffees and fresh squeezed orange juice! We loved Lea and Carmine so much - they felt like family!! It will be hard for any other place to match the service we received from them. In addition, we visited during the Calendimaggio festival, a medieval festival where the two teams of the town compete in many ways. Ex. Flag throwing, games, re-enactments, etc. I felt transported in time. We stayed from May 9-11. We loved Assisi and especially Portico10! Perfect location in the centre of town. We will be back again in future! Thank you Lea & Carmine!

Excellent place to stay in Assisi close to everything

It was excellent!!! Location the best, carmine and his wife were outstanding and extremely helpful on where to park, eat and how to get around in the town. She cooks all the breads, pastries etc herself, it was so good. Beat capuchino. Highly recommend staying at portica10, we will be back for sure. Thank you

A lovely B&B with very kind and welcoming hosts.

A very luxurious B and B. We were made to feel very welcome and the hosts provided a lovely choice for breakfast with lots of home made cakes and bread. They especially catered for gluten-free and egg-free dietary requirements.

Bed and pillow were too hard for my personal liking. I also like a very dark room but found the illuminated light switches a little bit bothersome. But it was only for one night and the super breakfast and hosts more than made up for it
