Wonderful stay at a quaint and comfortable hotel

Wonderful location, lovely decor, clean and comfortable stay; exactly as pictured on booking.com. We enjoyed the breakfast and easy check in and out.

Good location but not managed well

Walking distance to the main churches of interest.

We arrived at 7pm and the code for the door doesnt work. We called the three numbers and no one answers! We waited for almost an hour for someone to respond but no one got back to us. We were lucky there was a couple who was getting inside and has the key. They said they also had the same problem during check in. They opened the door for us to let us in. The people who manages this hotel needs to be pro active. No one even got back to us. During breakfast there was not enough food. The first batch had finished all the croissants and they dont replenish food if its over. So you only get to eat whatever is left.

Assisi is a must.

Fab boutique central hotel. Staff were helpful & great fun. Laura helped us visit a farmhouse for lunch with a swimming pool. The private bathroom outside the room was perfect for family travelling together.

Would have loved cooked eggs in the morning.

Central location in Assisi, but misleading

The property is very conveniently located in the center of Assisi. The room was comfortable with everything that I needed for the stay.

The pictures of the interior of the property posted here did not match what I found in person. In particular, while my room was comfortable, it was much less cozy than advertised. Also, the breakfast, which was quite limited was not served in a space with nice tables, as shown, but in a small area right next to the reception. My individual bathroom was a bit removed from the room and quite small. There was also a glass door as part of the single room that made the whole room light up when someone turned in the lights in the corridor.

Pleasant stay in a cute boutique hotel.

The location is very nice, right in the heart of Assisi. It is in a very old building, like most of Assisi, but has been updated inside to be a cute little hotel. The entrance from the street is very picturesque. It seemed like someone was always taking a picture of it.

Because this is a small hotel with only eight rooms, the breakfast options are fewer than a larger hotel might offer, but the food was always fresh with meat, cheese, fresh pastries, etc. Because this building is located on hill, there are quite a few stair steps involved.

Only the entrance “. The room had twin beds . Too small. On the pictures the way the pictures were taken looks bigger but two people can hardly fit.

The hotel is comfy and clean. The price for what you get is good.

I would suggest that they try to get a better reception for guests that get earlier. Like before the check in time. What I mean by that would be the possibility for the guest to use the bathroom, even if it is earlier for the check in. It would be a super value for guests. Now, they did great storing the luggage of the early guests. That is great!

Very well located, close to the center and not far from the Basilica, in a quiet and safety place. The room was clean, comfortable and had a good size. Staff was vey kind, helping us when needed, with good will. Breakfast was good.

I liked that location is very good, staff is super nice, there are good options for eating nearby and it is a quite space in the rooms. It is a good center point for the different churches and activities in town.

Great Hotel, we will definitely stay there again!

The location is perfect, right in the middle of the old town. It is a small hotel with so much charm and really unique and gorgeous furnishings. The decor is truly beautiful, and we will definitely stay there again. The continental breakfast was amazing - a variety of absolutely tempting and delicious treats all prepared by the owner. There were other tourists taking photos of the access steps, as the entry steps are decorated so well. The owners were so helpful and accommodating. They went above and beyond - even booking a table for us at the best restaurant, giving directions and booking a taxi for us when we were leaving Assisi.

There is no A/C, but it wasn't too hot even when the temperature outside was up. There is a lot of noise from people passing by at night, as the streets are narrow and the sound echoes. Having the windows closed helps, but the noise does add a community feel to the place. The room doesn't have a bar fridge, but that wasn't an issue for us, as there was a cafe right across the street. We would have scored them a 12 out of 10 apart from this.

Exceptional

Lieto Soggiorno is a small and cozy hotel, an amazing place to stay in Assisi. The location is excellent, with good restaurants and mini markets nearby. The owners (an Italian couple) are lovely people; the lady prepares and serves the breakfast, and everyday we tried local pastries and a good variety of breads, jams, cheeses etc. We stayed in the best room in the hotel, it's a very clean and large bedroom (with a living room and small bathroom), and the decor is very cute.

Such charming and cozy hotel, the owners are so welcoming and wonderful, it is like staying with freinds,the details here are very thoughtful and beautiful, the breakfast was great in the morning, I loved my stay here and highly recommended, the location is in the middle of the center and everything is just 10 min walk maximum even the train station, would definitely book next time I am there.

Maybe the Best Place to Stay in Assisi!

The rooms were furnished and appointed like they were just for you, very cosy with lots of pillows, knick knacks, artwork with very comfortable furnishings. You can see by the detail of the rooms that the owners are really proud of their hotel, and it shows in everything that the do. The breakfast was just amazing, with a very large variety of pastries, meat, cheese, juices and more. They do not skimp on anything. This was by far the best breakfast that we had on our 28 day trip thru Italy. The hosts were cheerful and helpful, willing to help you with anything that would make your stay in Assisi great. So nice after our stays at other hotels with off site managers and packaged breakfast food.

Grace the manager was so patient since our Italian wasn’t great and they had a great breakfas.

No air conditioning so beginning of the night it was hot but by the morning it was fine as long as you leave the windows open.

Unbelievable is an understatement.

Everything was perfect. The room was amazing. Location was great but what really made this more than we could have imagined were the owners. They are truly exceptional people. We had an issue with parking and the husband walked with us all the way back to our vehicle and then drove it for us to the right parking area. We weren't aware that the Calendimaggio di Assisi festival was going on but he got us behind the scenes and explained what the festival was all about. I wish we had booked a longer stay because everything was so great.
