A stay with a decent breakfast but overall let down by poor organization on arrival, an outdated roo

• The breakfast was good, with a varied selection and enough options to choose from. • Once the initial issue was resolved, check-in continued without further problems. Heating is great and for the season the room was well heated. For the summer it might be something to consider as I have not seen AC avaialble in our room.

• Upon arrival, the entrance door was locked and the situation was handled in a disorganized way, with unclear communication about what was happening and how long it would take to resolve. • The room is clearly aged and in need of proper repairs rather than temporary fixes that look improvised. • Cleanliness was at an acceptable level, but visible wall marks and scratches gave the room an overall neglected appearance. • The bathroom has an open shower without a proper cabin, causing the entire bathroom to get wet during use. • The “double bed” was actually made of two single beds pushed together with two separate mattresses, which was very uncomfortable. This compromise solution does not work well.

I loved the location. The room was large and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The bathroom was small but very clean. The hotel manager was invaluable with information about the town. If I return to Assisi, I will stay at Hotel Pallotta again.

The stairs. After a day of walking up and down the hills of Assisi, I found the stairs to the hotel very tiring.

Wonderful Ambiance

Just wanted to say how much I loved the medieval Assisi vibe throughout the place. It truly made the experience special. Also, having the kitchen available all the time was such a great touch—especially those cookies and the hot water. Totally fantastic!

If you’re someone who travels light, this option is perfect for you. It’s designed to be convenient and easy to manage without the hassle of bulky luggage. However, if you tend to carry bigger pieces of luggage, this might not be the best fit since it won’t accommodate your needs as well.

Underwhelming

Location

The rude staff in the breakfast table (woman), i knew beforehand people who reviewed warned me already about this “breakfast” lady, but out of 6 months (4 trips in total) of travelling in Italy first time I encountered this, i know life is hard now but dont throw your problems to the guests!! You can say politely not shout like we are uneducted people!! you give a bad taste of your country!!

I say this not so much as a complaint but for information, the steps are steep and narrow, but we were in Assisi so that must be expected. The rooms were small but again not so much complaining just mentioning for information for future travelers.

Very comfortable and convenient

Very convenient, homely feel. Very clean, clean sheets and towels daily. Able to come and go easily. Lovely breakfast . Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Although I had hot water the shower was a bit dated and the water splashed all over the floor. I dealt with it but I was afraid of slipping so I had to be careful as I had a recent injury to my foot.

There was an amazing view from my comfy, clean room.

The staff went out of their way to help when I needed to borrow an adaptor. They were friendly and made great expresso in the morning.

Great location, communication was easy to arrange self check in. Room had everything we needed. Communal area on the top floor provided great views and was a nice place to sit during the evening. Good breakfast.

Amazing

Fantastic property, quaint little staircase up to it, very friendly host and caterer, Perfect location!! Beside an ice cold water fountain and town square, the town spreads out from this square with beautiful affordable restaurants 10 metres from the door. Will definitely be back

A wonderful stay in Assisi.

First things first, I want to thank Stefano for his help on my arrival. I was exhausted after travelling for over 12 hours and got lost for 40 minutes around Assisi. When I became familiar with the town layout, I realised that Google Map always gave me directions to and from the hotel based on the back of the building and not the entrance Via S Rufino. This made me understand why I got lost as it kept sending me the opposite way. If you use Google Map for directions be careful, it seems it cannot cope with the layout of a Medieval Italian town. Grazie mille Stefano. Also many thanks to Maria who took care of us guests for breakfast. She was welcoming, friendly and always had a smile on her face. I only wish I had spoken decent Italian to tell her how much I appreciated her kindness. The location of hotel is OUTSTANDING and one gets to hear all the lovely church bells which is such a calming soothing sound. Hotel is centrally located so within walking distance to all the Cathedrals and to the Saint Francis Basilica as well.

A great place for those who want to enjoy and explore the beautiful town of Assisi.

Centrally located with a beautiful sitting room with great views on the top floor. The room was clean, comfortable and very reasonably priced.

We liked everything about the property. Our only suggestion is that it would help to mention that the hotel is a bit hard to find since there are no signs for it on the ground floor. It’s necessary to look up a flight of stairs to see the sign for the hotel.

Location - right on Main square; small but tasty breakfast included - very helpful staff - good wifi - tea/coffee facility in the afternoon in breakfast room - gave us discount at their excellent restaurant Trattoria Pallotta in the main square

Hotel Pallotta is exactly in the centre of Assissi a minute away from the square. we had a fantastic room with 2 balconies and lovely views. breakfast was perfect and the friendly were super friendly. everything was simply amazing - we will definitely be back !

Quality and extras that makes this place stand out

Slept very well due to the foam mattresses. Great central location to most of the churches/basilicas. Good range of nearby eateries and shops. Great breakfast as well as afternoon coffee/cakes. Bathroom towel was probably one of the best, just soaks the body dry! Lovely sitting area upstairs, able to catch some great rooftop and sunset views. Interesting and artistic decor throughout the hotel.

Hotel is in a charming authentic building perfectly located in the middle of Assisi ! Nice area not only for visiting but for good food. Hotel Pallotta has its own restaurant on the central market square with very good food and you get a discount.
