Great place to stay, great location and impressive home

The home is impressive. Its large in size, modern and has eveything you need for your stay. The home was clean and appropriate. It is in a great location and in walking distance (5 mins) to whitby. There is local amenities close by. We managed to get parked no problem and were a family group from ages 14 to 63. So we used 4 cars and managed to get parked.

More suggestions than criticisms as we really enjoyed our stay. I understand that heating this home would be an extra cost to the host before guests arrive but this is a very big home that takes a lot of time to heat so putting heating on before guests arrive would allow for a better experience, especaily as we stayed in december when the weather is naturally cold. My dad has parkinsons so really struggled on arrival at how cold the house was until it heated up in the evening. Some of the beds are less comfortable than others, maybe the host could review as one of my group woke up with spring marks in his back. That being said the above would not put us off from staying again.

There were little things that disappointed - broken shelfs - broken plastic flooring in the bathroom - No package left - for the price it would of been nice to get some milk or biscuits - front garden was a mess

Fabulous family weekend.

The house was lovely, decor was tasteful and big enough for our family of eleven to all chill together. Great location just a few minutes from centre.

Parking was a lottery, but it was August and pirate weekend so may have been more busy than usual. Unloaded outside house but had to park two streets away, but cars were fine.

fantastic place for a group getaway in Whitby

We stayed at Albion House as a group and it was ideal for our needs. The house is incredibly spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax without feeling on top of each other. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the huge dining table made mealtimes and evenings playing games a real highlight of our trip. The location is excellent – just a short stroll into the heart of Whitby, yet far enough away to feel peaceful. Great views from the top room. Overall, Albion House is a fantastic place for a group getaway in Whitby – spacious, well-located, and a great base for exploring the area. We’d happily return.

Parking always challenging in Whitby. We knew this so booked a just park parking space not too far away. Houses that come with parking are always a bonus in Whitby!

Brilliant place, very well kitted out, great layout. Great location.

This place is very big and beautifully decorated. Great views and so close to all the shops and restaurants and the beach! I seriously think that whoever puts bad reviews on here is coz they’re tight and want money off and they’re mental. You can’t fault this place!

This is only coz you’re asking, there isn’t anything we didn’t particularly like but the front could do with some fencing and plants to give it privacy and it would make it look better and the back yard could do with some fake plants maybe some wooden panels and artificial grass? It would match how beautiful the house is inside! But seriously it didn’t bother us at all, it was nice to be able to sit outside at the front as is now x

atrocious trip from beginning to end

absolutely nothing. the house was dirty. the bathroom on the top floor was unusable the stench from the sink was disgusting and there was a sign saying that the shower could not be used at all. the microwave was broken. the ironing board was broken. there were broken knives in the kitchen. the beds creaked. there was nowhere to park near the property. there was dust everywhere. the floors were grimy. we had email confirmation that we could have early check in. on the day, they refused access and I had a car full of food that needed putting in the fridge. I raised a complaint, they took weeks to respond. eventually agreed a 20% refund however have still not paid me the money. I visited in August it is now octover. Host and Stay are horrific, do not book any properties with them. they have a call centre in the Philippines.

The bins hadn't been emptied on arrival The en-suite in lower floor bedroom was dirty The drains and all the sinks smelt horrible Shower on top floor not working with no prior notice given to us The microwave didn't work The fridge wasn't cold enough Some bed sheets and towels had stains on them We were very disappointed with the accommodation

Perfect location, perfect property, could have been a little cleaner

Keys in lock box, only one for main door though which meant that if some stayed in house they had to keep door unlocked until last people got back, there was 12 of us. Bunch of keys a squash to get in the lock box as well, be better if only main key put in it

Location perfect for us, size of the property etc however it could have been a lot cleaner and one of the double beds broke the first night

would not recommend

the comfort of the beds plus lovely clean white bedding and towels plenty of toilets and showers. very large kitchen and seeting

no where to hang clothes. the dirty mop smell underneath the stairs. the dirty cookers and pot. Dirty bin a dirty throw and n one of the beds. a broken microwave plate THE STENCH OF THE DOWNSTAIRS SHOWER a disgusting back yard. dirty windows. Etc. Ect

The house was in a great location for accessing the centre of Whitby.

The kitchen area with the huge table ,a great space for eating and playing games.

The smell of drains in the ground floor bedroom ,I had read about this in previous reviews and contacted the maintenance office at host and stay to be reassured this was no longer a problem when it clearly was.

Fabulous property in great location but needs attention to ground floor bedroom to resolve smell.

House is stunning and in a great location

Bathroom on top floor was unavailable when we arrived but this was resolved on our second day. Main issue was smell of damp/drains in ground floor bedroom, which got worse each day. We did enjoy our stay but would not stay again as would not want to use this bedroom again.

loved Whitby and the house is a good house but there are a couple of issues (as above) that people should be aware of

excellent kitchen and living areas for a family get together

location was in the slightly rougher part of Whitby and the bottom bedroom by the kitchen had a really strong smell of a drain which couldn’t get rid of and impacted considerably on the people sleeping in there
