Low Costa Mill well worth a stay

We have just had a lovely long weekend in Thresher Cottage. Very clean with everything you need. The location is excellent woodland, fields and animals. The bonus was a heated swimming pool. Tracy was a very good host and informative. We only wish we had more time to explore more around Low Costa the site. We would certainly recommend Low Costa Mill and would love to return again sometime.

excellent weekend retreat that would be perfect for children would defiantly stay again

very nice remote location with excellent facilities, penned in field for letting the dog off, private woodland walk, good size cottage

some more items in the kitchen would have been nice, frying pan, tin foil, coffee, maybe some local produce eggs etc but this did not effect our say and we would definitely come back

Wonderful location, wonderful accommodation.

Great location for exploring the area. Easy to get to York and also Whitby and Scarborough. Lovely village nearby for coffee shops and groceries. Accommodation was excellent. Clean and well equipped kitchen. Lovely and warm rooms in the evenings. Comfy beds and huge bathroom. Lovely swimming pool....and outdoor space. Will definitely visit again.

Wonderful facilities, wonderful hosts, excellent price! Such a warm welcome and really made to feel at home! Fantastic touches like cleaning products, dish towels,, bin bags, kitchen roll etc. So much to do for all ages, a fantastic location for a get together. The pool, games and walks and woodland trail really are great.

Lovely spot with bonus of pool and ev car charging. Comfortable cottage, and the business displays good cleanliness and Covid awareness. Easy drive to York and to coast, although no shops or pubs walkable.

I got this property muddled with others, so did not have tea or coffee on arrival. Most places have this now, even if just a few sachets/sealed individual tea bags to start you off. This would have been appreciated!

Nice location - use of a pool -

Nice location and the availability of the swimming pool is a good selling point. Clearly being on a timetable make it a bit more difficult. There are lovely grounds and plenty of safe areas for kids to play but a pond would mean smaller kids would need n eye kept on. Its a few miles from the village

Perfectly functional and reasonably well equipped. TV had SKy/ Netflix options which is nice along with Wifi fast enough to allow me to teach live to University in Glasgow. It is showing its age a little bit having been converted about thirty years ago but I think this was an astute contrast as we had been in a barn converted within the last year the previous weekend. I think hosts could have been warmer and not forget while its been difficult for businesses making customers feel welcome and not a neutral arrival makes all the difference - a wee welcome pack is a common sense thing to do.

The cottage is based on 10 acres of beautiful land with a pond, running stream and lots to do for children. There's a chicken run and goats which the kids loved, along with the play park that suits all ages.

Excellent stay and would highly recommend it.

The cottages were excellent for our short break, the location was very handy for the town of Pickering and the surrounding area. The hosts were excellent, they provided a great handover of the keys and description of the facilities of the property and places to visit in the surrounding area.

The real fire looked nice but didn’t give much heat, maybe needed some firebricks behind the grate.
