A wonderful family group stay in a fabulous spacious house in Whitby.

The location was amazing and was the reason we booked. Overlooking the links with views out to see from the bedrooms. Just 10-15 mins walk from the beachfront and easy reach of both Whitby centre and Sandsend. A great pub with good food nearby. Overall the accommodation was stylish, generous and well laid out. Facilities great and well equipped. Very comfortable for a large family group like ours.

Highfield House had all you needed for a comfortable stay. Great view over looking Whiby golf course. About 25 minute stroll into Whitby main front with plenty of good food and bars. Local pub the White House about 5 minute walk served lovely food and staff very pleasant.

The lounge seating. We did not feel that this was comfortable for 6/8 people. A couple more armchairs are needed to replace the large pouffe and the coffee table next to the TV. This would mean that everyone could watch TV or sit together during the evening.

A fantastic short stay catching up with family from a smart and comfortable house

Really smart house on a new build estate with a great view over a golf course to the sea. Whitby was our family home for decades, it was lovely to be back.

We didn’t much like only getting the code to get in on the morning of our arrival. Quite stressful for people travelling without good phone signals.

Fabulous Stay.....High Five for Highfield House!

Our family of 8 really enjoyed our mini break at this super accommodation. The location was great, the views were amazing and the house was really lovely and had everything that we needed including parking for two cars. It was very clean, very comfortable and spacious enough for all of us to feel that we had plenty of room. A perfect place for a group of people.

Excellent Property and Location.

The property was excellent, clean, plenty of bathrooms, with a secure garden, fantastic worry free dog area. Bedding was crisp and white, towels were fluffy and plentiful. The parking was excellent, location perfect for going in to Whitby or down on to the beach to walk dogs. The location was quiet, outlook across the golf course perfect and as the property was at the end of a cul de sac, no passing traffic.

No covers for settee to protect from dogs jumping on furniture when locked up at night. Ended up upturning furniture each night!

Very good short stay but actually parking the car not good because of the high kerbs.

Highfield House is comfortable and was clean. All modern equipment and facilities. A bonus for holiday lettings was the addition of cleaning materials and condiments. Excellent showers and bathroom.

Parking is at the front of the property but the kerbs are not lowered and the grids and inspection manholes are raised in the road leading up to the property.

Beautiful house, would definitely stay again.

The property is just over a mile out of Whitby so easily walkable. Taxis are plenty and not a bad price. There was 6 of us and there was plenty of space. The bedrooms are a really good size. The house is a new build and the decor in the house is modern. Very nice bathrooms. The duvets are nice and bountiful. The balcony off the master bedroom looks out over the golf course and we spotted deer, pheasant and rabbits which was lovely. The kitchen is very well kitted out. The house had everything we needed other than as listed below. We would definitely stay again.

There were hardly any coat hangers so I had to go out and buy some (which we left at the property for other visitors). There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms so again I had to go and buy some which is fine but it would have been handy to know this beforehand. There was only 1 tea towel in the kitchen which isn't enough for a week's holiday. Luckily I took some myself and a hand towel. Previous visitors had left dog poo on the back garden. Luckily we spotted this before our dog/children and removed it. It would be useful for the cleaners to check this.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location

Easy to get the keys from the dropbox, the facilities were incredible. Each room was spacious and had everything you needed including 2 en suites and a good sized garden for the dog and kids in our party. The accommodation is walking distance from the beach and from Whitby town itself. Would 100% recommend and will be looking to return myself.

Excellent house perfect for a family getaway with amenities close by

Highfield House was excellent for our party of 6 adults, toddler and dog. Very modern, clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Lovely view from the master bedroom and parking for 2 cars. Additional bonus of having Lidl round the corner. Will definitely recommend.

Gorgeous well equipped house

The room configuration was great, the facilities were all you could need and the location was very handy for town and access to local amenities. It had gorgeous views and a lovely walk along the coastal path was fantastic, really impressed with the bathrooms too, really well done out with a beautiful finish, we really enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the house.

Host and stay are a frustrating company to manage bookings with. They insist on a verification confirmation and charge a non refundable damage waiver or a deposit with a fee attached. I reluctantly completed the verification after being told it was mandatory (this was not stated at the time of booking) and then was badgered by text and email every day sometimes twice or three times a day stating verification was not complete, I eventually dealt with a gent called Ryan who managed to sort this but the harassment by Host and stay was a joke. I'd also requested a high chair which was not provided, and have had these issues before with Host and stay, so gave up trying to engage further with them as honestly I was so frustrated with the company I couldn't deal with the hassle.

Difficult to find. Sat nav took us to wrong location. Found street by accident. Had to ask locals where it was they didn't know either. But they did put us in right direction in end.

Absolutely stunning holiday house, perfect in every way.

Everything ❤️ spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished to a very high degree, well equipped, very comfortable, stunning views from the bedroom balcony, really comfy beds, private secure garden for our little dog and the grandchildren to play. absolutely perfect.

Only little thing was no drop down kerb onto the driveway but realise it is a fairly new property and together with the raised manholes on the road this will probably be addressed in the future.

Very lovely family house for a great home from home stay.

The property is ideal for a large family and pets. It is well decorated and the furniture is really nice. It is an easy walk to the beech with supermarket and takeaways close by. Parking directly at the property can accommodate at least 2 cars.

With the property being new, there is little to criticise, it is well equipped with mostly everything you may require for your stay. Tea towels were in short supply as only one was supplied, but this was not too detrimental.

Fantastic weekend break

The property is spotless and modern, everything you could possibly need has been thought about. Drawers and kitchen cupboards full of everyday essentials and lovely touches such as tea/coffee/sugar/salt/pepper available. The smallest of things are available at this property to truly make it home from home. Fantastic views across the golf course and even a sea view to the right from the balcony. Amazing safe enclosed rear garden. Would happily return for another visit
