We stayed here at the beginning of Jan 26 as a group of couples for our friend’s surprise 40th birthday bash. The accommodation was fabulous. Great house to accommodate large groups. The party room with bar and pool table is perfect. Kitchen was really well equipped - has everything you need and more. This property is great value for money and I would highly recommend.

Our only criticism would be that the bathrooms (particularly the showers) could do with some investment and upgrading. A few of us tried to use the showers but gave it up as a bad job as the water pressure was really weak and the temperature of the water randomly went from freezing cold to scalding hot. It wasn’t ideal when we were there for 3 nights but we didn’t let it spoil our fun and everything else about the accommodation was perfect 🤩 An extra downstairs toilet or another bathroom would make this property 10/10.

Fantastic

Communication with the host was great. The host sent me a text on the morning on arrival to introduce herself. She also advised how to collect keys. The is a £100 bond to pay before arrival which I had missed at the time of booking which I sorted before arrival. This will be refunded afterwards if the property is kept acceptable. The property its self is very spacious enough room to move about. We stayed for business so everyone had their own space. We decided to extend our stay one extra night that was hassle free. Thank you we will visit again soon.

Incorrectly advertised as close to Durham centre

The host was very welcoming and the property itself was as we expected. Being a group of 8 we found the facilities good and the bedrooms comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and we appreciate the tea/coffee available on arrival.

THE LOCATION. Advertised on booking.com as 1.6 miles from Durham Cathedral with the train station 1.9 miles away we later found out the property was over 30 MILES away from the train station with colleagues arriving by train incurring substantial additional expense in taxi fees. Unfortunately the Wifi was also poor.

Fab house, loads of room.

Fab large house, great space and extremely comfortable! Having a dining table we could all sit around for meals was great. Plenty parking for several cars. Fully equipped with everything you will need.

Booked through booking.com this house was described as 2.2km from Durham Centre, when I got the confirmation it was actually 30km from Durham Centre. The weekend was organised based around the City. Plans needed to be changed last minute which was very inconvenient for a large group to co-ordinate.
