Outstanding trio of cottages and a fantastic party lodge - perfect for our extended family holiday and new year celebrations.

We watched a family film one afternoon but TV size and sound quality was not as hoped.
Excellent array of books and jigsaws though - thank you.

The cottages were lovely and very comfortable. Very well equipped, comfy beds and washer/drier available as well as a dishwasher. The lodge was brilliant with plenty of space for 15 of us, with a large dining room table and plates and cutlery available. Location was really nice, in a quiet country lane with horses clipping past. The Punchbowl pub is just down the lane which serves delicious food.
Cottages and the Lodge were quite cold when we arrived and did take a while to warm up. On the day of departure the cleaners arrived early (9:45) which threw us into a bit of a panic. The cleaners were actually cleaning around us as we were trying to get our belongings out of the cottages which was a nightmare ! To be honest the amount of money we paid we did not expect to have to strip our own beds.

We were 3 adults and 7 children. Accommodation was excellent for all, (I particularly liked the book case and books, so did some of the children). Despite the weather on the Friday and Sunday (well it is the lakes) there was plenty for us to do, and when it was glorious, it was just nice to sit outside and breathe. Good time had by all.
Personal thing for me, I just wish there was accomodation downstairs as I struggled on the stairs but the bedrooms were all beautiful and clean

The set up and layout of both properties was excellent, with great utensils and appliances provided, and plenty of parking and room for all 13 of us. Enjoyed having the separate building where we could enjoy our evenings, therefore not disturbing anyone who wanted an early night. We checked and no sound traveled unless you opened the door. Was immediately asked by my group of friends to start working on a weekend again for next year.
The possibility of a toilet in the separate building, as we used that the most to congregate a group of our size.
Again due to the size of our group, a TV in the separate building would be a benefit, as living rooms weren't big enough to accommodate us. However, we were a large group occupying both sides of the property.
Finally, possibly needed more than 1 key per cottage, but again we were such a large group.
