Property was lovely and spacious for a little cottage! Very lovely location with beautiful views. We took our little dog who enjoyed it thoroughly too which was a huge bonus for us to be able to take our furry friend as he enjoys the hiking too! We had everything we needed with the fully equipped kitchen!
The people around were very lovely and we met the host who was very friendly and welcoming.
The property has abundance of character and was very clean and tidy! The beautiful wooden beams around the cottage have it such a homely feel!
Wi-Fi within the property which was very handy as there isn’t very good signal around, but we loved that for the peace and quiet! Sky Tv too! Great for the cosy nights after a long day hiking!
Laundry on site too which was really handy, especially for families!
There were two lovely pubs within a stone throw away! This was lovely and the food was really good too!
It was lovely to be able to go on lovely walks and get to know some of the history too! Plenty of wildlife around and farm animals which was lovely to see!
Really close to the mill that had a lovely little plunge pool, however, was a little chilly this time to take a dip!
We really enjoyed our stay and spent our first year anniversary in the quiet country side which this property really fits! We will be visiting again very soon!!
Thank you :)
The car park was fine, although very tight, it’s perfect for a small car, however we do have a 4x4 truck which is not the properties issue it was ours.
The garden is very open and shared by the other cottages, which was lovely, however in the evenings when we wanted to spend time in the garden our neighbours were out there too, which again is okay, but we do like our privacy so we didn’t get to spend much time out in the garden which is a shame because we would of liked to have made the most of the bbq and the scenery surrounding us. Again, this is a preference and if you don’t mind mingling with the neighbours this would be perfect!
My husband is a smoker and had to go down to the bridge to have a cigarette which is only a 30 second walk, however, was unsure why as there were BBQ able to be lit out in the garden quite close to the property, again this is a preference and we do understand about no smoking in the property but not sure why this was an issue in the garden area. Again, it was a minor inconvenience but may be annoying for some, especially during the summer months if you’re wanting to socialise in the gardens.

If to menion one thing we would have preferred not so hard bed pillows. Yet this is very much a personal preference.

Great location and very cozy cottages

Excellent location. Full of character.
I think it is too small for a party of eight. The kitchen and living space is small. The WiFi was intermittent.
