Beautifully decorated and comfortable

Beds were exceptionally comfy, everything we needed was there and more

Fantastic stay

What a fabulous house, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The facilities were second to none, and the pool table and darts board kept us all entertained on a particularly wet evening. This property is a great place for families, there were 6 adults and 2 children in our party and everyone enjoyed our stay. The added touch of the Christmas decorations and the tree really helped us get in the christmas mood, which was why we were all together for the weekend

Quirky and generous

The hosts were exceptional. I had a few questions and they answered instantly. When I couldn't find something, they assisted. There is a maintenance chap who was also super helpful. The layout of the Stables is quirky and may not suit everyone, but I liked it very much. We liked the information folder that is sent by a link and also is available in the accommodation. The hosts, very kindly, left loads of provisions for us! Eggs, milk, fruit, chocolates, cookies and wine! Top quality loo roll too. The furnishings are so plush and the bathroom is lovely. I will certainly be booking again, perhaps using more than one of the premises for a bigger party.

The description on Booking.Com. It is very misleading. We thought there was a hot tub with the property. Which there is not. There is one, but it's not available to The Stables, that is not clear on the booking.com description. We were very disappointed with that, but the host did apologise for that, and it was entirely not their fault. The Stables is a converted stable, obviously, but the small window in the kitchen is broken, not the glass, but the fixture itself and causes a pretty bad draught. While the wall heaters are fabulous and easy to control, the windows can cause some fluctuation in the temperature. The main thing we didn't like is the fact that there is a bold on the outside of the entrance to the courtyard of the Stables and Cottage. It concerned me when we arrived, but had no problems with it until we are trying to check out. Someone had bolted it from the outside, and there is no other way out from the Stables as the gates at the rear are padlocked. We suspect it was the children in the main property that had done it. Who can't resist turning a bold when you see one. We had to disturb our neighbours in the Cottage to let us out as they have an exit to the front.

Beautiful, quiet, comfy and spacious. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful accommodation in the historic town of Ripon. Stayed with my mum and, with the 2 good sized double bedrooms, we found the place absolutely perfect for us. The host was brilliant, providing everything we could want for our stay. The accommodation was very clean and kitted out exceptionally well. The beds were also very comfy providing us with great night's sleeps after long days of exploring. Good on site parking and lovely quiet location. Would happily stay again.

Well appointed albeit over priced .

Tranquility

No wall mounted shampoo /shower soap/body wash in the shower. Impossible to get the TV to work. Only partial court yard lighting despite lots of lights that appeared to be allocated to other properties.

This beautiful cottage exceeded my expectations! We had a lovely stay and the cottage was very spacious. Little touches left for us on arrival made us feel at home. The cottage had everything we needed (and more!!). Enclosed private garden with a bbq was a nice touch and it was peaceful on a night sitting outside. The sofas and the bed were exceptionally comfortable! Great location with lots to do around and the guides left for us really helped us plan our trip. Dog friendly, so no leaving them behind. We would absolutely love to return.
