What an amazing place - from setting foot inside the property to leaving. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds Proper shower. Quiet location Little touches like chocolates, biscuits, milk & eggs Easy to walk into Ripon and cheap enough to get a taxi back.

Booking.com makes out that the cortèges have hot tubs and dart board but this is only in main house. Owner kindly put hot tub in garden area although this was small.

Location was just right for what we needed. The property we used was the smaller property and not the larger house that is shown in the description. It was ok.

We found it difficult to find the property as the sign was not very clear. We drove past it a few times and had to call the owner to get directions. Think it needs a clearer sign. We felt that the property which was not the large house as described which appears to be a lot more contemporary, was nice in that it had an African theme, however it is in need of a good overall to update it. It didnt feel clean. The kitchen smelt of heavily fried food which lingered. The rooms had cobwebs on the ceilings and when I dropped my phone near to the bedsides it needs a good clean as it was quite dirty. The bed linen.. the bottom sheet looked like it had been used by lots of people and had bobbles on it and not fresh and clean and crisp as you would expect a nice bed linen to be. The quilt cover was not on the quilt, but suppose because it was hot we just used the cover as a top sheet. The bathroom, again could do with a refurb. There was a basket in there, presumably to put towels in, it had a sock from previous resident. Little things make places like this stand out and if it’s not going to be tended to as expected then you are not going to get good quality. I am sorry but it was not as we expected and we did not use the hot tub. No instructions, nor any details of taxis etc. I think a good overall of the place would make it more inviting and comfortable to stay.
