Located at the doorstep of America’s most visited national park, Sunrise Ridge Resort is all about the location. Sunrise Ridge is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and just a few miles from Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and the park itself. You can lose yourself in nature’s wonder from your balcony or one of the resort’s three swimming pools. At Sunrise Ridge, there are no bad seats from which to watch a sunrise or sunset, see the fog that gives the Smokies their name, and enjoy the colors.
Of course, a trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a must. Enjoy camping, hiking, and rafting in the warmer months, skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and some of the most spectacular scenery found anywhere all year long. Live entertainment abounds, too, in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, where you can choose from a variety of shows, sip a bit of mountain moonshine, or visit the Hollywood Wax Museum.

- Check-in office hours: 7 days a week 7am - 11pm.
- Handicapped accommodation available.
- No pets allowed. Please contact the resort regarding the policy on service animals.
- Not all buildings have elevators.
- Hotel Guests: At time of check-in, a valid government-issued photo identification is required and must match the guest name under which the reservation was made, credit card for $200 USD security deposit and a nightly $11 plus tax resort fee will be required at check in. The deposit must be made on a major credit card - cash and pre-paid debit cards are not accepted.
- Resort Fees cover all of the amenities at Sunrise Ridge, which include: Guest Internet Access; Self-parking; Sports Equipment (shuffleboard, basketball ); Barbecue equipment; Lobby Coffee Station.

Very nice and quiet

The check in was awesome and the condo was nice. Only down fall was the bed in one of the rooms was not comfortable and the mattress was very thin. Felt like sleeping on box springs. There was very little kitchen utensils, with 1 large bowl for mixing. The staff was very friendly and all in all we had a good time.

First and foremost, the boardwalk to the beach is closed. Make sure you read that in the property description because I failed to do so. Because of its closure, you have to walk across a sand dune that runs directly below and to the right of the boardwalk. On our very first day on the beach, I stepped on a nail that was buried in the sand along that path and it went completely through my foot. I ended up pulling it out and seeking medical attention (tetanus shot and antibiotics). I am not talking about a small nail. This was a deck nail that was 4 inches long. While I was away seeking medical treatment, the rest of my family got a metal detector so they could search for more so that this wouldn't happen to anyone else. I kid you not, WE PICKED UP 47 NAILS OUT OF THE SAND IN THAT SAME PATH!! I contacted the company to inform them of the issue. They apologized and sent someone out to pick up any more nails. This joker shows up with a spaded shovel - nothing else - and just runs it through the sand to try to find any more nails. I have no idea if he found anymore or not, but we found more every day the rest of the week. I am extremely unhappy with the way the company handled this situation.
Aside from that, the house was great. It is plenty big, great for large parties, and is in a great location. We did find mouse poop in one of the cabinets in the kitchen, but never found a mouse. The house does need a little TLC, but nothing major.
