A lovely older hotel close to transport

An lovely older hotel with comfortable rooms close to transport and city restaurants. Helpful friendly staff.

The lady staff were very welcoming. The place is great, good value for money, clean and safe. The unacceptable downside is that the elevator is not always working.

Cheap old hotel with mold and horrible smell

Room 111, disaster, swollen wallpaper on the walls, musty smell, in the evening cigarette smell from neighbors through the bathroom vent, very small room even if I booked a double room

location was the best part.

The beddings , towels were clean. vacumming was not exactly clean bec the cleaning lady was in a hurry.

No elevator and no tv working for 9 nights i was in the hotel.

An experience

We were told the lift was broken and we would have to walk up four stories to our room. We are both 73. They gave us a room on the first floor which was old and didn’t feel clean. Not a very happy experience. Breakfast was also very ordinary. They told us the lift had been broken for two months and we had only booked this hotel one month before so they already knew the lift was broken and did not inform us of that otherwise we would’ve never made the booking.

Being about 100 meters away from the main train station in Frankfurt made this the ideal place to stay. Lots of space in the room.

Cheap and cheerful stay

Friendly staff, Good sized rooms with fridge, twin beds very comfortable, back of the hotel so limited noise, very convenient to train station and river for a run along the water in the morning.

Didn't realise there was no air-conditioning so on the few hot days we were there it was a bit uncomfortable at night but not unbearable.

No doubt, I would stay here again!

The hotel is just next to the Frankfurt main train station (Frankfurt Hbf) which is just great if you arrive late in the evening by train or if you have to leave very early in the morning.

No telephone in the room - the poor nightman has to knock at the room door to wake you up (shouldn't you have a mobile phone or if your phone has broken down)

one of the receptionist was rude and he denied hot water kettle usage even in the restaurant this makes a bad reputation for your hotel as no other hotel in Frankfurt denies hot water to drink for guests

Great location in a not so great location

Location and price. Friendly staff. The room we booked was big and so was the bathroom.

Having read other reviews before booking here, I found them to be fairly accurate. Yes, the building is old. There is a distinct smell when you first enter. I wouldn't say it's unpleasant but you get used to it. If you get a room facing the main road, it will be noisy if you open the window. The window is double glazed and does a good job at keeping the noise out when closed. This can present a problem as the room has no AC so summertime could be uncomfortable. Location is great, however those not accustomed with the homeless and drug affected people around may find this unsettling. The question is would I stay here again? Definitely.

We did not stay in this hotel as it was not as advertised on the Booking.com website very misleading

the room we were given was damp and very old and had dated décor. The floor was not carpeted and the bed linen was grey and well worn. We complained as the room was not fit to sleep in. We were then offered two more rooms each one a little better than the first but far away from the room pictures and description on Booking.com. We asked for a refund as well felt that this hotel was not as described and well were not happy to stay. We were told by the owner of the hotel that it was Booking.com's decision to allow the refund or not to charge. As we did not stay in this hotel we expected a refund. NOT AS ADVERTISED

Fairly cheap, comfortable room. Friendly front desk staff.

The area around the train station is very grim. During a five night stay, my room was cleaned properly only once (most days, my trash was not emptied and linens weren’t changed). No hot drinks facilities as advertised.
