Excellent place to stay, particularly if your are interested in the local history of the area.
This is a beautiful historic property in a parklike setting. The place is gorgeous. The reception staff were very accommodating and gave us a short tour of the property before taking us to our room. Breakfast was fabulous. Again the staff in the restaurant were friendly and very helpful.
There was no A/C in our room. However because the weather was cool and rainy we didn't really need it. I would also mention that the first night of our stay we decided to eat a light dinner in the bar. It was excessively slow.

Occupancy was not very high when we were there, so we thought we'd get a room via a view. Unfortunately, our little half height windows only showed us a stone roof.

It’s a nice hotel if you’re lucky to be in the renovated rooms and without construction.
I liked very much the overall building and the nature around it. The availability of the parking. The stuff was super friendly. The decoration is beautiful. The restaurant area is super great. The breakfast was fantastic (a bit expensive) with a great variety of choices.
My room was a bit shabby and there was reconstruction on my floor which I had to face back and force. So that spoiled a bit the stay and that’s why I thought the price didn’t really correspond to the value of the room, especially given the ongoing reconstruction. But the rest was nice. Especially the breakfast.
