Wonderful stay in a perfect location, run by a super professional and friendly and kind host.

Beautiful and safe and well located. Benedetta is super kind and helpful and willing to accommodate any request, even if it’s outside of her normal hours or duties. She couldn’t have been nicer!

I found the bed and pillows to be a little uncomfortable… not extremely so, but it wasn’t what I normally hope for with a “luxury” stay. Every other aspect was so great that I would not hesitate to return and stay again. Only a very minor consideration.

Good communication before we arrived (restaurant recommendations etc) and very clear instructions on how to access the property. Rooms are inside what was a palace in Modena and there is a beautiful large lounge where you can relax and enjoy coffee and tea and an assortment of cakes and pastries. Our bedroom was a large room overlooking a garden. Very peaceful. There is no breakfast but this was made very clear before we arrived. There are lots of cafes very close to the property. Our hostess Benedetta was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Thoroughly recommended!!

Wonderful stay at Salotto delle Arti!

We loved everything about the property and Benedetta was an exceptional host! She helped us with everything, including recommending great local places to visit and calling a taxi for us when we couldn’t find one. Located next door to Osteria Francescana and its office, and we even ran into Massimo as we were checking in! We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit to Modena!

Perfect palazzo style stay...

Wow! A beautiful stay in a palazzo-style apartment. Lovely staff, good communication and very helpful. A good location close to the famous restaurants of Modena, but 20-30min walk from train if arriving that way. Recommended!

A very simple breakfast offering worked for us, but don't expect cooked options. The key code entry system can be slightly fiddly late at night after a few two many glasses of Amarone!

An absolute gem of a hotel.

It’s absolutely gorgeous. The most tucked away and beautiful gem. The communal rooms are stunning and our bedroom was elegant. We had the warmest welcome, we arrived a little early and had such a helpful , kind reception.

Perfect! Met our needs completely.

Fantastic location in the center of the old city of Modena and lovely 17th century apartments that have all the modern conveniences. Had an elevator (lift), fridge, nice shower, bathrobes, nice toiletries, linens etc. One can tell that great care has been put into the decor, furnishings, and all the little extra touches, like chocolates, little pastries and drinks in the salon etc. The host, Benedetta, was wonderful - warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The free street parking right outside the building was an unexpected bonus :). Highly recommend!!

Nothing… except the air-conditioning was a little weak, which was the case with most of the places we stayed at, so I think that’s just how they are in Italy.

Great location and stay in Modena, beautiful place.

The room was absolutely beautiful and clean. Loved the coffee, cake and cookies in the lobby. The host made everything super easy with a self check in as our train was late. Very accommodating and would absolutely stay here again if we came back to Modena.

I felt like a queen in her castle.

This hotel is beautiful in every regard. The interior aesthetics are perfectly appointed - it’s so beautiful. The owner has high standards, great sense of design and many interesting art pieces. The owner is also the receptionist and host and is friendly, helpful & accommodating. The breakfast dining room is comfortable and gorgeous as well as an outstanding buffet is outstanding.

Perfect

How beautiful the hotel is, especially the breakfast room. How details are all thought of. That you make you a cappuccino. We also requested mending kit and and iron which weren’t a problem at all. They provided a drink at night if you liked as well as literature and energy packs so you don’t get dehydrated. What a great idea for travellers!

Benedetta, who greeted us was very helpful and the room was well appointed, very clean and lovely.

It was a spacious room with two large windows onto an inner courtyard. The bed was very comfortable as was the bathroom with shower. We were able to park our car on a nearby street and were given a free parking pass for that.

We were very tired from our trip and went to bed early. There was some noise at night from the apartment upstairs before 10pm.

Felt like being in a palace

Salotto delle Arti is a fabulous boutique hotel right in the center of old Modena. It felt like we were in a palace. We stayed in the Cacchia room. It was a wonderful stay starting with the very clear and exact instructions on how to complete our self check-in as well as a parking permit which one needs to have displayed. Benedetta the hotel owner is just delightful. She is so friendly and helpful. She gave us greet recommendations on where to eat as well as places to visit. I would definitely stay at Salotto delle Arti again.

Everything was absolutely perfect! I don’t want to sound negative. My only suggestion is that while the breakfast was ample. It consisted mainly of different cakes and sweet pastries as well as fresh fruit and yogurt. It would have been nice if there was a toaster or some cheese as not everyone enjoys eating sweet food in the morning.

Only a one night stay but it was excellent and I would recommend Salotto delle Arti

A delightful room with a garden outlook. Every thing was in good order, it was spotlessly clean and the staff very obliging and charming.

There was some confusion re the self check in. We arrived late due to train cancellations.Instructions were clear as to entering, however it was not clear that the first two doors were linked in their locking mechanism. Fortunately other guests helped, having had the same concern

Gorgeous building, amazing hosts

Benedetta and her team were brilliant, going above and beyond. Before we arrived, I contacted them to see if we could drop off our bags before check in, and not only was that possible, our room was ready when we arrived mid morning. Also, I left some personal belongings behind and Benedetta went to a huge amount of effort to return them to me in the UK. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and the whole building was stunning. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Perfect location to enjoy Modena. The old-city is very walkable and all points of interest are 10 minutes by foot. The room's decoration is beautiful in a classical style. Bathroom is big with hot water and excellent pressure. Wifi signal is good. Last by not least - Benedetta is a superb host - she gave us impeccable recommendations on where to eat, helped with reservations and helped us out with anything we needed.
