Charming B&B in the heart of beautiful Modena - marvellous owner!!

Fab location close to all the best sights. Superb owner who couldn’t do enough to make our stay memorable and well informed. Nice old building in a quiet side street close to restaurants, shops & cafes. Clean and comfortable room. The breakfast at a local cafe was simple but very good - friendly staff.

Not a massive negative, but for the price the Deluxe Double Room was a quite small and the water pressure in the shower needs upgrading🙂

Great location and charming host

Owner went out of his way to accommodate our every need. He found us a great parking spot (not easy to find otherwise), then he booked us a table for dinner at a nearby restaurant when we told him we were having trouble with a reservation. He also gave us information about the city landmarks, how and when to enjoy them best. Room was clean and comfortable. Check in and check out were smooth. Lots of complimentary toiletries.

Price was a little steep but you do get great service in return.

The room was modern and clean- lovely. The HOST was amazing 🤩 he welcomed us with his little dog Jack and recommended all sorts of great activities to do. Also the best pasta restaurant only two saway that we have ever had!

A home away from home!

We had the absolutely most wonderful stay at Old Town. Massimo and Anna could not have been more kind and welcoming and attentive leading up to and throughout our stay. The suite was pristine and absolutely beautiful! Even beyond our expectations from the pictures which was such a pleasant surprise. The linens were such high quality and the bed was so comfortable! We typically miss our own bed at home when we are travelling but we so looked forward to resting in the suite at night! I loved the idea of the gift certificates to a local cafe for breakfast. I tremendously enjoyed my erbazzone's from Stradora Cafe! It truly felt like a home away from home. We absolutely cannot wait to return to Modena often in the future and will not be staying anywhere else!

Excellent B&B in the historic center of Modena.

Nice and clean appartment in the historic center of Modena. Easy to walk around the sights in the historic center. Walking distance from the railway station. Perfect location if you are going to Osteria Francescana. Breakfast is from one of two cafes near by. Massimo and Anna are really helpful and communication with them is easy.

Super stay, in the middle of the city

Old Town is located in the middle of the historical centre of Modena. The rooms are very nice and clean, the owner more than helpful. Free parking spots are arranged by the owner, at a 4 minute walk from the B&B. Absolute winner this one.

The lodging was a spacious and comfortably appointed apartment in the heart of the historical town center. The location was ideal for exploring the historical center of Modena. Modena was a delight for its history, culture, food, and hospitality. Massimo was very attentive, responsive, and helpful in getting oriented to the city, finding points of interest, and recommending dining options.

Stay away from this cheater

Extremely dissatisfied !!!

Room too small price too high! Even no hot water for shower. No service man in the office. The owner lock the door leaving customer unattended! Breakfast has to walk long way and only a mediocre sandwich and a small coffee . Worst of all, its price is outrageous high than quality 4star hotel (4satr only 130-140 euro while this guy charge 277per night!

This beautiful property is well located, very clean, and tastefully decorated. we had the king which was a small apartment. For breakfast, you receive a coupon for a continental breakfast at a local cafe which is also beautiful and has excellent coffee. The location is quiet but central and an easy walk from the train station.

a piece of heaven in Modena

big spacious rooms, modern heating and air conditioning system, Netflix on the TV, amazing location, the manager and his assistant were so nice and helpful, the location is perfect (did I say that yet?), right across from Osteria Ruggera (a delicious Osteria), the rooms had a big refrigerator, the beds were super comfortable, the building had an elevator (but a couple stairs before the elevator)

A peaceful room 1 minute from Osteria Francescana

The property is very well located in the historic centre of Modena. We had come to have dinner at Osteria Francescana and were pleased to find out the property was only a 1 minute walk away! The room was clean, bright and quiet in the evenings. It made for a very pleasant stay. The host Massimo was very helpful and forthcoming with recommendations for restaurants and cafes to try in the area.

Not many downsides to the property at all! Less mobile travellers should be aware there is a staircase to get to the lift.
