Large luxury accommodations in Modena

The hotel and rooms are crisp, modern and very clean. A modern sensibility. We had a junior suite that was quite large with the biggest walk in closet I have ever had in a hotel room. Bathroom was large and comfortable with robes and slippers. Coffee and tea pot in the room.

These have to qualify as quibbles. Some may say the rooms are a bit spartan with only window treatments and mirror and bare walls, but it’s clearly an aesthetic choice. I liked it my wife thought it needed a couple of things on the wall. Carpet needed something under it in the suite area so it did not slip on the wood floor.

Andrea was amazing!! He made us feel welcome before we arrived. I reached out prior to arrival and all my questions were answered. The entire experience at this hotel was over the top. We will return. It was difficult to leave because of the kind and authentic attention and exceptional service. The food for breakfast is fabulous. The dinner was excellent. Thank you, Gaetano, for the wonserful service and conversation. The best surprise is they have a master pastry chef and the breads, tortes, and baked goods are truly special. The fig and nut bread is worth the stay alone!!

I can’t think of anything that would have improved the stay. It ws lovely.

Lovely stay in Modena

The hotel staff were immensely kind and helpful. Not only did they they help us with anything we needed (from car parking to dinner reservations) but they even surprised us with a homemade cake for my husband’s birthday at breakfast that morning. Rooms were large and very clean. And the hotel itself is well situated, just a short walk to all attractions.

The only issue I had was that the mattresses were not comfortable - they were very hard which meant we did not sleep well.

Everyone we interacted with was wonderful: the reception team, the breakfast team, the person who helped with our luggage, the elevator and car, and the added bonus of a free parking spot right in front of the hotel. Even the dinner recommendation was spot on. Everything was just excellent.

An Absolute Gem in Modena – Luxurious and Welcoming!

Staying at Hotel Rua Frati 48 in San Francesco was an incredible experience! I was in town for the Cosmoprof fair in Bologna, and choosing this hotel was the best decision. Just a 45-minute drive from the fair, it provided the perfect balance of convenience, comfort, and luxury. The rooms are absolutely stunning—spacious, elegantly designed, and full of character. The dining experience was outstanding, with delicious food and impeccable service. But what truly made my stay special was the amazing staff—warm, professional, and always ready to assist with a smile.and they have a valet parking! After a busy day, returning to this hotel felt like coming home—serene, luxurious, and welcoming. If you’re visiting Modena or need a great place to stay for events in Bologna, I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely return!

Lovely stay in short visit to Modena.

The hotel was on a quiet street within walking distance of the center of the city. We were able to park right in front of the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and hospitable.

Nice hotel in a great location with wonderful staff.

We paid extra for a suite, and typically that is a living area with a bedroom that you can close the door so one person can rest while the other watches TV or uses a computer, etc. This was just one very big bedroom.

The staff was amazing. They greeted us when we arrived, which was a little late in the evening. It was around midnight. Were very friendly and helpful. Andrea if I am spelling his name correct was very helpful and courteous. The entire staff was great. Breakfast was also a very good experience and again great staff helping out. Nothing but good things to say

5star service and immaculately clean hotel

spacious rooms, comfortable bed, very good breakfast buffet and most of all fantastic service. perfect location to visit the historic centre, the famous food market and local restaurants.

using the very nice jetted shower resulted in wet bathroom floor - shower door needs better seal. had also read (possibly on the booking.com description?) there was a hot tub in the spa/wellness area but we could only find a sauna/steam room plus small gym; those facilities seemed nice, had just hoped to soak in a hot tub.
