Great value for the money!

Amazing stay in the heart of the mountains! The hotel is cute, has a unique design and view. We loved how big and peaceful our room was, super clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great each day - nothing big, just a few simple things like pancakes or french toast, but it was great for us. The restaurant was also nice - food was good for the region and the staff was always helpful and smiling. I liked the fact that we're so close to many eco-trails and at the same time that we're not so close to the city center of Smolyan (too noisy there). Will definitely visit again!

Some bug nets on the windows would be nice, as they were missing.

Wonderful place

Friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are spacious, very well furnished and perfectly clean. The food in the restaurant is delicious. With it’s location near the town and with lots of options for walks around hotel Smilen is the perfect choice for a nice and relaxing vacation.

We purchased half board, and both the breakfast and dinner were perfect. The personnel was extremely helpful. The hotel is located nearby to main road but in winter time, the branch road could be sliperry due to the snow, be careful. The room was big, and it was really hot (it was perfect during the snow time). If you go for skiing, it is approximately 20 minutes far away from the lifts/ski pistes by driving located in both Stoykite and Pamparovo. The hotel has also spa, we didnot try but it looked very nice & the message appointments were full, you should make the appointment prior to your visit. Thank you for great hospilatiy.

Great family owned hotel! Rooms are nice, warm and cozy! There are fridge, kettle, soap and shampoo in room! Meanwhile you can enjoy sauna and massage there as well. Interior design is original and looks good and cozy. There is restaurant inside with tasty Bulgarian cuisine 🤗 Hotel is located not far away from the main road , on hill so you can enjoy nice views from window or open terrace. Hotel staff are family members and they are really friendly 🤗 One of the nice places where I enjoyed was lobby 👍 That makes warm and comfortable feeling! I like that hotel and I would like to come back again 😊👍

Nice location and facilities, not so good service

Nice, quiet location outside the town of Smolya. The bed was really comfortable and the hotel overall is clean and nicely decorated.

There is a steam room and sauna included in the price but you have to ask for them to be turned on. The steam room was broken though. There is nobody sitting on the check-in desk and there is no phone in the room. If you need anybody from the staff you have to go down in the restaurant and look for somebody to help you. Also there is a fireplace with wood prepared for burning in the room but it was impossible to light it up since the wood was wet and again...you have to go out of your room and look for ssomebody from the staff to assist you. Another thing is the hotel locks up at 12 AM in the evening so if you miss the curfew i guess you will sleep outside.

The staff was very friendly. They couldn't give us our change at check-in and we forgot to pick it up from the reception. They gave it the next morning on breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, they offer a couple of things to try out and you can get a coffee or a tea.

Really good place to stay for a weekend

Very cozy place, we enjoyed our stay there for 101%! The place where you feel like guest, not like customer. Very kind and helpful staff, good breakfast, nice view, tasty food.

Only the nature!

The bed is like hell! There was a meeting of all ants in the world! Everyday they come to our room and only make the bed - no cleaning, not new towels, nothing… We ask very kindly to leave and return our money - but the owner - sad they can’t because of Booking.com - they lied about everything! The breakfast- is terrible! We come there for second time - but now everything is under the normal! I will advise to choose other options!

Мястото и гледките от хотела са прекрасни. Изключително спокойно и тихо е. Домакините са много мили и отзивчиви, накараха ни да се чувстваме като у дома си. Стаята беше просторна, чиста и много, много топла. Опцията да ни запалят камината в нея беше също чудесно допълнение.

Хотелът се нуждае от малко освежаване и обновление. Има неща, които просто са се износили с готините, но нито едно от тях не ни помрачи престоя.

Останахме повече от очаровани! Важно е да отбележим, че от януари тази година хотелът е с нови домакини, които са подобрили значително условията и са внесли нов живец и старание в мястото. Хората са изключително мили, дружелюбни и отзивчиви – насладихме се на много приятни и сладкодумни разговори с тях. Личното отношение е на най-високо ниво, като домакините бяха изключително гъвкави и се съобразиха изцяло с нашите нужди за часовете на пристигане, тръгване и закуска. --- Логистиката е отлична – стигането до хотела е лесно, дори в зимни условия нямахме никакви проблеми или нужда от допълнителни насоки. Пред самата сграда има къде да се паркира спокойно. Мястото е идеално за почивка, тъй като в района е изключително тихо, спокойно и далеч от всякаква шумотевица и врява. --- Самият хотел очарова с детайли в обзавеждането, които създават истински уют. Беше изключително топло и чисто. Храната заслужава специално внимание – менюто е повече от прекрасно, изпипано и много интересно. Закуската също беше съобразена с нашите вкусови предпочитания. Сградата разполага и със собствено СПА, което за съжаление не ни остана време да посетим, но е чудесно предимство. Личи си, че се работи с много сърце и със сигурност бихме се върнали!

Сауната не бе с допълнително заплащане в booking, но на място все пак трябваше да се заплати 8€/човек. Закуската бе леко постна и ресторантът бе окей.

Хотелът е в близост до езерата с прекрасни гледки. Стаята беше много уютна. Идеално място за хора, които искат да се откъснат от натовареното ежедневие. Тишина и спокойствие. Perfekte Ruhe in der Natur

Sehr hübsches, stilvoll eingerichtetes, grosses Zimmer mit Blick auf die Berge. Schönes Restaurant, leckeres Essen, abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. Wir bekamen Wandertipps und Rhodopentee und die Kinder spielten stundenlang mit den süssen Katzen.

Das Abendessen (Halbpension) könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein. Aber lecker war es!

При цена от 160 лв. на нощувка е нормално да се очаква покриване на елементарни стандарти за комфорт и обслужване. Уви, престоят не оправда нито цената, нито очакванията за базови удобства. Най-фрапиращото – пълната липса на отопление в планински район. Температурите в стаята бяха непоносими. Персоналът нямаше решение на проблема – нито печка, нито духалка, нито алтернатива. Подобно нехайство е напълно недопустимо. В ресторанта за вечеря ни посрещна неподготвен персонал – сервитьорката дори не знаеше какви салати се предлагат. Закуската беше шведска маса, но разочароващо оскъдна – липсваха даже най-елементарни плодове, таблите не се допълваха навреме, а пържените филийки бяха...изстинали. Некомпетентност, студ и липса на елементарна грижа за клиента – категорично не препоръчвам това място.

Хотела е страхотен с малки забележки които са поправими

Не ми хареса че беше студено първата вечер , не работеле парното цялата вечер а радиатора е малък за да затопли цялата стая и също така в банята душа беше скъсана меката връзка и пръскаше на всякъде, надявам се да са я сменили след наптавена забележка от моя страна
