Great Value, Good Location and Clean Rooms

The hotel is clean and newly decorated. It's located 10 mins walking distance to main square and the old town area. Rates are much better than the older ones closer to main atractions.

Our room was skipped during regular room services hours, despite the "room service request" was on. But the staff compensated by providing it at a later hour.

Family stay for two nights in Plovdiv

The location of the hotel is very close to old town where you can walk in 10 minutes. You can leave your car to the closed car park of the hotel. Breakfast was open buffet and it was delicous. I can recommend to everyone this hotel.

The beds and pillows are a bit too soft for me. But this is my opinion and other visitors may like it.

Excellent Stay

This was our second stay at this hotel, and once again, we were very pleased. The breakfast was excellent with great variety and high quality. A big thank you to both the breakfast and reception teams for their attentive and friendly service. The rooms were spotless, with fresh and bright linens and towels. The location is also perfect, within walking distance to many key spots. Looking forward to our next visit!

Wonderful stay in legendary and enchanting Plovdiv

The hotel is a gem all together. The staff is very professional and has a sincere desire to solve whatever problem or question one may have. Breakfast was extraordinary with many vegetarian and healthy choices. The staff of breakfast is super attentive and friendly. The front desk clerks were very polite and helpful. The room was perfect, the Ac was very good. The location is exceptionally good. The hotel is within minutes walking of the main attractions . Plovdiv is beautiful and Bulgarians are very respectful and polite.

Good choice for a comfortable trip to Plovdiv, especially by car.

Everything is new in the hotel, spacious underground parking, very attentive staff (gave us cookies upon arrival :-) ), excellent breakfast, great restaurant, great Wifi.

The hotel is on a noisy street, so you cannot sleep with the window open. (But airco in the room was OK.)

super clean through out the hotel, extremely pleasant and helpful staff. A super high quality breakfast buffet at a reasonable price, good location for exploring Plovdiv centre and old town. Clean and tidy steam room and sauna.

not so happy about the green flashing smoke detector led on room ceiling. The Sauna could use a clock that is visible from the cubicle! There is some sort of outside aircon or water pumping noise that came on in the morning, probably due to the near by machinary on the roof as I was on the 6th floor. Not too intrusive though.

The stay was horrible

The hotel was severely understaffed. Instead of a bellman, we were offered a cart and asked to transport our luggage to the room ourselves. During check-in, we were given old, stale cookies that had been reheated in an attempt to make them more presentable. The receptionist had to bring bathrobes and toothbrushes to our room, as they were not provided initially. The housekeeping service was dreadful: when we returned to our room in the evening, there were crumbs left on the table, the bed linens had not been changed, just re-made, the hairdryer was not put back in its place, the cups were not properly washed—merely rinsed with water and left on the table, and the spoons remained dirty (photos of the cleaning are attached). The shower didn’t function properly, with abrupt temperature changes—you could be mid-shower and suddenly be scalded by boiling water. Yes, the location is good, and the rooms are nice, but the service leaves much to be desired. Our complaints regarding the shower and the housekeeping were ignored. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Everything was great - exactly as expected :) They even had charging cables for all kinds of phones by the bed, which was a really nice and unexpected thing :)

A minor thing, connected to safety no doubt, but I did not like all the blinking during the night - from a smoke detector or something like that on the ceiling and something else on the side. Easily solved when one closes their eyes :)

Amazing hotel! The best of the best! Amazing interior, fantastic rooms, but above all the staff is so friendly yet professional and helpful. This was our third stay for the past one year and Doubletree Plovdiv never disappoints! The hotel is ideally located between the old town and the center of the city, there are parking facilities. The spa is small yet clean and perfect for the concept of the hotel never crowded. But the staff... AMAZING people! Can't wait to stay there again.

My first room was a bit noisy because of the airco that didn't work. My second room was great. Hilton hotels are universal hotels that you could find everywhere around the world. You don't feel a 'local touch'.

A girl named Nikol from the reception. She was acting like my questions and requests were something terrible and not appropriate. On the top of that my mother saw her making faces behind my back. A very comfortable, stylish and clean hotel in a central location to access the best of Plovdiv.

A lovely, comfortable room. The bed and linens were perfect, the shower room was great with good quality fittings and lovely toiletries. It was peaceful and relaxing. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony and view and our cat was catered for beautifully, with a little bed, toy and dishes provided. Mikael at the front desk was particularly helpful and friendly. The location is good, there was a good choice for breakfast and the parking garage very useful.

There was no massage therapist working on the day we were there, which was a shame as we would have used the service. Although we had received an email to say there would be a charge for our pet, the amount was not mentioned in the email. Having expected 20/30 leva, we were a little surprised that it was 100 leva. That said, she was welcomed and well looked after.

It was a great experience. All the staff was so friendly, respectful and helpful all the time. Special thanks to Beyazid at reception and Marianna at breakfast hall. Hotel in general and room are super clean. Breakfast was great. It was included in my price. Very close to center five minutes by walk. Unfortunately, it was just one night accomodation. Next time, hope to stay more.
