Hotel Bellevue turned out to be considerably better than our first impression suggested. The hotel is quite large and the exterior looks a little dated, but once inside we were very positively surprised. Our room was enormous – more like a small apartment than a normal hotel room – and exceptionally clean. There was a large double bed, a single bed and a large sofa bed, with plenty of bedding and towels. We actually moved the sofa ourselves so that one of our children could sleep safely next to the other bed. Without us asking, housekeeping noticed this the following day, properly unfolded the sofa bed, rearranged everything and made it up completely for our child. We found that extremely thoughtful. Cleanliness deserves special mention. We had to move some furniture and even behind the sofa everything was spotless. The bathroom was also very practical, with a bathtub and shower curtain, so unlike many wet-room bathrooms we have experienced in Bulgaria, the entire bathroom did not get soaked after every shower. The small kitchenette had a kettle and a very useful refrigerator. There was only limited tableware in the room, but we did not actually need more during our stay. The children’s playroom was large, had plenty of toys and was tidied every day. Our children loved spending time there, especially after breakfast and dinner. The staff were excellent and the hotel clearly felt family-run to us. Everyone was extremely friendly, relaxed and helpful. When we arrived, we temporarily parked directly by the entrance to unload the car and were immediately told that it was absolutely fine to leave it there. A member of the family or management regularly came around during meals and asked guests personally whether everything tasted good and whether there was anything they could improve. The reception staff also asked us about our stay.

There was actually very little that negatively affected our stay. The main weakness was the spa area. It was clean, but noticeably older than the rest of our experience suggested. The sauna did not become particularly hot and the swimming pool was quite cool. The facilities were usable, but this is probably the part of the hotel that would benefit most from renovation or modernization. The exterior of the hotel also looks somewhat dated and the façade could use some freshening up. However, this is largely cosmetic and the interior, cleanliness and service were much better than the first impression from outside. The kitchenette in the room was only lightly equipped. There was a kettle, refrigerator and a few glasses, but most of the cupboards were empty. We did not need to cook and therefore did not ask whether additional dishes or kitchen equipment were available, so this was not really a problem for us. The wider surroundings of Pamporovo are unfortunately not always attractive. There are unfinished buildings, construction ruins and some untidy or dumped areas in parts of the resort. This is obviously not something Hotel Bellevue can be blamed for, but it does affect the general impression when exploring the area. Overall, these were relatively minor points. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations significantly.

Базата на хотела не е нищо особено, не отговаря на 4 звезди. Храната е вкусна, но няма голям избор. Най-дразнещо от всичко беше не досаждане от собственика с въпроса дали сте добре, имате ли нужда от нещо и т.н., и това при всяка среща с него. При напускане на стаята исках да платя сметката си от ресторанта. Казаха ми, че дължа 18лв, дадох 20лв и даже не си направиха устата да ти върнат ресто. Не издадоха и касов бон. Не бих посетил този хотел отново!
