Fit for a Queen

Excellent, fit for a Queen! La Maison Jules is an elegant 'gentlemans' town house tastefully renovated by its charming owner Mme Alexandra Boyd-Mercier. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are very comfortable with beautiful parquet floors and fine bathrooms. Breakfast is what ever you want. It is well located in the older part of the city, 3 mins walk to the Congress House, 5 to the station, 8 to the late Gothic Cathedral and 10 to the Rue National with its shops and cafes and the Wilson bridge over the Loire. If I should return to Tours, and I may, I will surely stay at LMJ again.

Good location, spacious and beaitiful room & wonderful host

We had a wonderful stay! The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk from the station. The house itself is warm, clean, and beautiful, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was simple, delicious, and beautifully presented. The bathroom is also spacious. The highlight, however, was our host, Alexandra. She was so kind and we really enjoyed our long conversation with her. Would definitely stay again.

There is no elevator, which seems to be normal for this kind of historic house.

A beautiful place, a must stay if you go to Tours

We absolutely loved our stay La Maison Jules. It is a beautiful house with big rooms, beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms. It is only a 5 minute walk from the train station and in a great location to walk around town. The host Alexandra is so lovely and friendly, and can help with any questions you might have. Highly recommended this wonderful accommodation.

A perfect short stay — warm hospitality, a beautiful home, and the best breakfast to start the day.

Our one-night stay at La Maison Jules was superb. Alex was so warm and welcoming, and she instantly made us feel at home. The house is beautiful, full of charm and character, and everything was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious — Alex’s scrambled eggs were honestly incredible! Even though we were only there for one night, it was such a memorable stay and we’d love to return.

That we could only stay one night! I wish we could have stayed a lot longer.

Fabulous room in a gorgeous house, within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants.

We absolutely loved our room! It was so spacious, with a little sitting area and an enormous bathroom that included a bath! The shower was great and the bed very comfy. Alexandra, our host, was really friendly and suggested a great place for dinner. She also cooked us a great breakfast, which we enjoyed at the big table, getting to meet a couple of the other guests. A great stay.

Wonderful stay in Tours!

La Maison Jules is a beautiful 19th c. that is meticulously updated. The bed and bathrooms are chic, expansive and the bed extremely comfortable. The best was the homeowner, Alex. She is friendly, easy to talk to, kind, thoughtful and totally accommodating. Our breakfast was made special being in conversation with Alex. She made me want to visit Tours just so our paths would cross again.

THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN TOURS.

Our absolute favorite place to stay when in Tours. The host, Alexandra, is delightful. The accommodations are perfect and so comfortable: great bed, wonderful shower, lots of light and very quiet, even with the windows open that look out on the beautiful courtyard. Oh, and the home made breakfast with fresh croissants, fruit and made-to-order eggs is a perfect start for the day ahead. This beautiful B&B is a 5 minute walk from the train station and located on a quiet street, with many wonderful restaurants and shops just a delightful short walk from La Maison Jules. Oh, and as a side note, if you're interested in renting bicycles, mopeds, Motorcycles or Can-AM trikes while in Tours, check out "Ride-in-Tours.com" and tell Laurent and Rodolphe that Jeff sent you!

Memorable

Maison Jules is an absolute lovely place, peaceful, tasteful and spacious. It is also well situated, easy to find by car, close to the railway station and a short walk away from the cathedral, the castle and the Loire river. The old city centre with bars and restaurants is also at walking distance. Alexandra is a welcoming and thoughtful hostess. I would love to come back

Come to tours just for the privilege to stay at La Maison Jules

this is on par with 5 star luxury hotels. the room is massive, spotless, gorgeous decor and wonderful linens, the location is central, and there is nothing that could be improved. great for solo travelers or couples. what a value, she could charge twice the price and it would still be a steal. I am serious when I say that you could just visit this b&b and it alone would be a fabulous experience.

Amazing guesthouse

Exceptional guesthouse, if you're looking at staying in Tours then book this place! Our room was amazing- fantastic size, beautiful, comfortable, quiet, and well equipped. Alex is very friendly, she provides a wonderful breakfast in the morning and it was great chatting with her whilst we ate. It is an easy walk to the train station, and close to restaurants and sights in town. Wish we had the time to stay longer, hopefully we'll be back in the future.

From the moment we made our booking our communication with the wonderful Alex was fabulous. This is one of the most beautiful properties to stay in. The rooms are beautifully appointed with very high end bathrooms and extremly comfortable beds. The decor of the home is simply divine and it was such a pleasure to spend time there. The location is PERFECT. Walking distance to so many fabulous restaurants and points of interest. We LOVED our stay and hope to return in 2023. Merci Alex for sharing your beautiful Maison Jules.
