Very friendly staff who help with your bags. Nice quiet location but only a short 5 minute stroll to the shops and restaurants. A good base in the Louire valley for day trips. About a 10minute walk to the square and tram line. Breakfast was nice, all in all good value for money rooms were a nice size clean and tidy.

Terrific Tours

The location of Hotel Ronsard was excellent: being about a 15 minutes walk to Tours train station and less than 5 minutes walk to the famous Colbert Street with its numerous great restaurants, cafes and bars. It was lovely to wander around there in the day and evening. Communication with the hotel was excellent. Staff there are very efficient and kind. The hotel is a charming property with decent sized rooms.

Nothing really. The separate toilet (with no sink) with glass sliding door was odd getting used to. There was no kettle in the room. As breakfast was not included it would have been nice to have a hot drink. But that is our personal preference. There was no one in Reception after 7.00pm. This did not bother us but some may not like it. Please also be aware that if you're not mobile and you have luggage, most of the rooms are up a flight of steps.

very pleasant stay

Central location and only a short walk from places such as Rue Colbert, Rue Nationale, Place Plumereau, the art museum, chateau and cathedral Lovely breakfast with a good range of items, and charming and friendly staff, I would return again just for the staff who made the stay as pleasant as possible. Comfortable, pleasant room Homely feel; I am a returning customer having stayed here numerous times over the years Something that I would mark the hotel down on is that the reception closes at 7.00 and it is not possible to check in after then, but guests are able to go out late and return late if they wish due to a code on the door; on occasions when I had stayed here several years ago, the hotel did not have this code facility and it was not possible to return late without putting someone to inconvenience, so this is definitely an improvement.

There is no lift at the property but there are ground floor rooms for guests to stay in and staff are happy to help with luggage

Hospitality at its best.

This small family owned hotel is not only ideally located in Tours, it just exudes genuine hospitality. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious, great value for 10Euro. I absolutely recommend Hotel Ronsard.

Well located small hotel with friendly staff. The reduced rate arrangement with a local car park in an area of no free parking.

The breakfasts were very basic with no decaf coffee available. The set up in the small room of the bathroom area being behind an opaque glass door with the toilet at the front was a bit too intimate!

Really good location, easy to get to from the train station and a quick walk to the old centre with lots of options to eat. Room was clean and bed comfortable.

The weather was very hot but the air conditioning was not working, when I asked they told me it had not been turned on yet which was disappointing. If the air conditioning is only available for certain parts of the year it would be helpful if that was identified on the site.

Everything. Modernized rooms in vintage building, comfortable size rooms and bathrooms, air conditioning that worked really well, very clean, super nice staff, good breakfast.

No parking provided at the property, but we knew that up front; they’ve got an arrangement for reduced price parking in a relatively nearby large public parking facility, but with all the other positives, the lack of on-site parking was fine with us.

A great place to stay, excellent location and friendly staff at a reasonable price.

The room was small, but had a large bed and a compact toilet and shower. The location was terrific - the old town and many restaurants within a short walk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Baggage storage meant that we could walk around town unimpeded even though we arrived well before our rooms were ready. Surprisingly quiet for such a central location.

No negatives about the hotel, but a taxi to the airport from the hotel cost nearly 40Euros, which seemed rather expensive.

Exceptional

Excellent location: few minutes walk from the train station and the old town, next to the opera. Very comfortable beds, all new and very clean, luggage storage. Perfect value for money. Check-in finishes at 7pm. It is clearly indicated on booking. The hotel also sends you a reminder straight after booking. Most importantly: A calm and quite hotel including proper windows and doors to the hotel rooms. As soon as you walk in, you notice that someone who knows the hotel business well and who pays attention to the guests' comfort is running the place. Highly recommended this hotel and will definitely come back.

Paper cups in the bathroom. Some reusable cups would be better and more environmentally friendly. Check-in should be extended until 8 pm. 7 pm is a bit too early when you are already on vacation and doing some sightseeing before coming to Tours.
