Some of the fruit at breakfast wasn't ripe so we wasted a peach. We don't like wasting food.

Great location

Very central location. Great old building and nicely furnished. Has air conditioning and secure bike storage in a nearby garage. Helpful, friendly staff.

Air conditioning in our top floor room was provided using a loud mobile unit. Unfortunately, the unit had to be vented out through the window which had to be opened so was not very efficient. I understand rest of hotel had great working air conditioning. Shower holder was broken so had to hand hold.

Comfortable and good value

The hotel is well located for someone travelling by train, as it is about 10 minutes walk from the railway station, but also central for the old town and museums etc. The breakfast was good quality.

The room was rather small, but fine for a night or two.

The location is very central, five minutes walk from the station.There are plenty of good restaurants in the nearby rue Colbert. The building once was a boarding school where Balzac studied when he was a child.

There is no elevator and the reception is on the second floor which can be a problem if you have a big suitcase. Also my bedroom looked on the street and I was awake quite early.

Maybe would have liked more, if I was 20 years younger

The host was very accommodating in the morning and let my elderly parents check in early when they were not feeling well. There was a portable a/c unit in the room, which is better than no a/c at all.

I had a frustrating experience checking in, because no one was at the desk, and there was a sign on the door to call. Coming from another country, my cell service was not working, so I had no way to do that. We had to wait for quite some time for someone to show up during what was posted as working hours. The facilities are older and run down. The small, spiral staircase is difficult to navigate with a bag. Breakfast was not appealing to me at all. I am midlife, and I would have enjoyed this experience in my 20s, looking for a cheap but cozy place to stay on my own. It does have a certain romantic charm, but would not be my first (second, third) choice now, with or without my family.

A comfortable family owned traditional hotel in the heart of Tours .

A traditional French hotel in the historical centre of Tours close to all amenities including the train station. The hotel owner is welcoming and very helpful. We arrived on bicycles and these were stored in the owners garage for a small charge. Breakfast is a buffet with a good range of food.

Close to theater, museum and Château.

Breakfast was ample and the location across from the Theater was ideal. I was especially impressed by the host upon arriving: he cleaned the room key with purell, showing his concern for our safety during the pandemic.

The appointments were somewhat dated but actually fit the theatrical motif.

Hôtel très sérieux, accueil impeccable cordial et courtois, propreté nickel, esprit vieilles pierres et lieu historique (Balzac), très bon séjour , literie de qualité , si je reviens à Tours , je sais où je séjournerai, Merci beaucoup

Seul bémol, comme dans tous centres ville, le stationnement est payant, les taxes et impôts sont le sport national en France, on est au moins champion hors catégorie du parfait client captif au dépend des entrepreneurs tel que ce charmant Monsieur qui est très professionnel et fait vivre un hôtel de qualité

Déçue de l'expérience. Je ne conseillerais pas cet hôtel.

Pratique car proche de la gare (15min à pied) et du centre (20min).

La chambre dans laquelle j'ai dormi n'était pas du tout insonorisée, on entend tout que ça soit dehors ou dedans. De plus, ma chambre donnait en pleine salle du petit déjeuner (bruit à partir de 6h30).
