Carpet badly stained which was not a good look. The carpet in our room really needs to be replaced or cleaned to a higher standard. Windows also very dirty.

Our favourite place to stay in Tours

We always stay at the Hilton when in Tours. The rooms are modern and clean and the beds are so comfortable. Great location at one end of the main shopping avenue and an underground car park next door. We arrived a little early as we wanted to get out of the 40 degrees heat and not only was our room ready but it was super cool with the air conditioning having been put on early.

They must install fontaines on every level so we don’t have to go down to refill bottles with water. That was a bit inconvenient.

Friendly, central location - fabulous sheets!

Booked as emergency following motorcycle accident. Staff were lovely and immediately upgraded us on arrival. Allowed us to leave helmets etc with them whilst we sorted repairs and car hire.

The basic thing was missing: their bottle of shampoo was empty. I had one night to stay and had one time to have a shower. So it made my experience bad in terms of hotel services.

Tours is a great place to visit but the Hilton Hotel was very disappointing.

The location in an open area near the river and near the tram and old city was very good. It was easy to walk around.

As it was Easter I booked at The Hilton because the web site showed that there was a restaurant. My previous experiences with the Hilton was that an evening meal was served each evening. However, the restaurant was closed on Easter Sunday evening and Monday evening. The receptionist told us that there was a possibility of a restaurant being open in the old city area! On the Tuesday we booked at 8am for a table at the restaurant that evening, only to have it cancelled at 10.30 am because of a group booking. This is the opposite of what happened at the Novotel Bordeaux which served a top class meal on Good Friday.

Our stay there provided a very good base from which to explore Tours and the staff were excellent.

The happy and helpful staff. The room was very clean, well-maintained and nicely decorated. That the bar fridge was not full of products to purchase and that products were sold at Reception for those who needed them. The shower was excellent. The luggage rack was very well designed. You should have them available for sale.

Not having a colder bar fridge. What was provided was just adequate for storing insulin. I used it rather than take up the offer of storing insulin in the restaurant fridge, where I would have had limited access to it. That it allows dogs, making it hard to maintain and guarantee cleanliness. Not having fresh milk provided. The only breakfast option being a full breakfast rather than something light like a coffee and a croissant.

Luxury and Comfort

We stayed here after cycling for a week through the Loire Valley. The laundry room was a great bonus. The shower was fabulous. We had a big luxurious and comfortable room.
