Nice, well-located hotel with great staff

Well positioned hotel, with friendly and efficient staff (both at the front desk and the domestic staff). The room we were given was on the side of the hotel, so we could just see the river. But it was adequately proportioned and clean.

Lack of an opening window meant the room was a little too warm and stuffy for us. Otherwise, to be honest, I'd struggle to find fault with the hotel and staff.

Value for money

We received a friendly welcome; the hotel is in a good location with access to public transport right on the doorstep. The room was of a good size and well appointed (my wife found the bed too firm for a comfortable night's sleep but at the end of the day we fully recognise that it's a hotel and they cannot cover everyone's likes/dislikes). There was a very good selection of hot & cold food at Breakfast. Be aware that if you are travelling by car the hotel does not have any dedicated parking. The nearest parking is at the underground 'Parking Indigo' which is approximately 100mtrs from the hotel and is accessed from Place Anatole France on the Avenue Andre Malraux - overnight parking cost us 13.00 euros.

Overall there was nothing we would say we disliked - it's a convenient hotel that did everything we would expect.

We ordered Taxies through hotel and where overcharged, and taken on detours we have family who live here so are well aware of prices we ordered 2 taxis one evening and there was a 7 euro price difference for same journey not hotels fault if you have Uber use them

Comfortable, convenient hotel close to everything

I enjoyed this hotel and found it clean, comfortable, and well located. My room was very pleasant, well designed and clean. I had requested a quiet room, and the room fit that description. Special notes: 1) very helpful front desk staffer who directed me to an electronics store so I could pick up a plug adapter after discovering that I'd lost mine, 2) location close to the Loire, the main shopping street, and most important cultural sites.

Very good hotel in a great location to visit and sight see Tours

The room was quite spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. The location of the hotel is excellent with many restaurants and bars nearby.

There was no drop-off facilities at the front of the hotel so we had to lug all the luggage from the nearby public parking. It's not however a 'deal breaker´as the other features of the hotel more than make up for this negative.

We asked for a french bed and got a very small room with a french bed. The children stayed in a twin bed room and had much more space around their bed.

The Perfect Place for a City Break to Tours.

This hotel is in a perfect location for enjoying a city break of Tours especially the old town. It is a very comfortable hotel and only a short walk to the main square where there are many restaurants and bars. There was a good variety of choice at breakfast both hot and cold and the scrambled egg was the best I've ever tasted. The staff were all very attentive and helpful. I would certainly come back to this hotel if I do return to Tours.

There were a few little things that my wife and I felt were missing which would have made our visit complete. There was no toaster in the breakfast bar so baguette was the only choice. There were no tea and milk sachets in the bedroom only black coffee. There was no Cognac or Armagnac in the bar. I appreciate these are quite small things but would have made our visit a little more enjoyable and complete.

Clean room and hotel, with friendly staff Rooms well equipped apart from the lack of a fridge or complimentary water at least.

No fridge or water in rooms, no small bottles of water available to purchase at lobby “snack counter” The exterior window in our room was completely filthy with is strange when the inside of the hotel is impeccable

Good place for a short stay in the centre of town

Location ideal for discovering the centre. Room impeccable, large, comfortable, well equipped as you would expect. Bathroom top quality.

Car park in a grubby underground public car park a short walk away. No comfortable seating area in the reception area. No restaurant. Plenty nearby as suggested at reception, but no offer to make a reservation and the good restaurants were full when I looked.

Good value business hotel

Modern, comfortable, quiet room. Good staff. Generally the sort of quality you expect from a business hotel. It's right in the centre and five minutes from lots of restaurants, and the old part of town. The marché on Sunday was really great - French people socialising, eating oysters and ham from stalls

No way of unloading luggage from car at the door of the hotel. Room needed USB charging points, and more electric points generally.

Great hotel in a great location at a great price

The hotel was in a fantastic location, facing the river and a few minutes walk to the shops & restaurants. The room was bigger than we expected with a very comfortable bed. There is no parking at the hotel but directly outside the hotel is an underground car park which costs around €12 for 24 hours. We travelled with our dog and there was a €20 charge for that which seems pretty standard.

We would like some fresh fruit at breakfast. The bowl of fruit felt like it was there for display purposes. A nespresso machine in the bedroom would have been appreciated rather than a kettle with instant coffee.

Great location to explore Tours and good breakfast.

Central location by river and a main street so great location for exploring, walks, choice of places to eat, shopping. All a stones throw away. Interior is well decorated and homely as are the rooms. Breakfast was actually good though attention needs to be paid to making sure items for selection are monitored and replenished regularly during service. Staff were all helpful and cheerful. King room was spacious.

No paid for car parking and instead have to rely on the public underground car park. €12.30 daily charge. Building exterior is unsympathetic considering architecture in surrounding area.

Excellent stay in terms of the location but liked neighbouring Hilton more.

A really good location close to the river and old town with a large variety of cafes and restaurants. Tram line stop next to hotel giving a journey to and from the station in a few minutes.

Our room was very small and compared to the neighbouring Hilton hotel was disappointing. On a future visit to Tours we would stay at the Hilton Garden hotel next door. Here our room was larger and a much nicer breakfast environment.

Orange water marks in shower and basin - toiletries not replinished - last resident socks still in wardrobe - breakfast not refilled quick enough - def not 4 star!
