A big plus was the on-site car parking. Also it was within easy walking distance of the Cathedral, the Musee des Beaux Arts and Rue Colbert, with its restaurants and bars.

No a/c although a fan was provided and the balcony doors could be opened for air flow

We had a very good 4-night stay in this most typical French hotel, but we stayed during the extreme heat-wave and there was no air-con other than desk fans and windows. However, the Staff were very friendly, all comms were very clear, breakfast offering was ideal, rooms were clean and fine but not overly spacious, beds were comfy, showers excellent. The lift was fairly small but it worked well 100% of the time. As it was an older hotel there were some typical hotel background noises, such as the lift and various creaky floors but over all, I would say it was exactly as you would expect and pretty good value. The location was really good, 2 mins from Railway Station and 5 mins from the West side of the Old Town, with tons of interesting things to see/visit/drink/eat all within in easy walking access of the accommodation. The hotel offered a small open space locking our bicycles within the private courtyard at the rear but an indoor covered space or shed would have been preferable. Overall - very good, I would certainly stay here again if visiting Tours.

A shed for the Bikes would be good. Better air-con somehow would be welcome but thats not an easy thing to address. Overall, the Hotel was just what you would expect - quirky-ish, not perfect but still a good place to stay.

Location

Top floor bedroom, tiny shower room that you could not use the toilet and close the door. Very hot in Summer, and small double bed. One plug in the whole room.
