Amazing staff and they even upgraded us upon arrival. Such a kind thought especially as I’m just recovering from cancer chemotherapy treatment.

Breakfast buffet excellent. Quality of food in restaurant for evening dinner excellent
Towling robes should be provided as standard. Restaurant menu limited if you're going to eat more than once during your stay as the menu doesn't change.

We had one meal in the restaurant and it was superb (42 euros for three courses). Lovely parkified garden. The room was really good, with a mini fridge, hob and sink - so it would have been possible to self cater.
The sauna was out of order. The price of the gin and tonics - there was no bar open so it defaulted to room service. £23 for a double g&t!!! Breakfast is also pretty pricey but we made our own in the room. However, we were charged for four breakfasts on our bill - this was remedied at the checkout when I saw it included on the bill. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY!

Geographic location.
A couple of staff members who were curt.
And Julia, a breakfast staff member, who was arrogant and rude. Not good for the hotel business.
The quality of the breakfast was not of a 4-star hotel. Poor fresh fruit salad. Poor quality of coffee. Industrial food.

Lovely building, spacious bedroom.
Very uncomfortable pillows.
Dog friendly but no dog area to sit with your dog even for a cup of tea.

Everything except that it isn’t in the town
It was beautiful

The pool part was cool but the sauna was closed and they didn’t give Me towels, a robe or slippers like they did the other guests. They forgot, but the spa didn’t have extra either so I dried off with a hair dryer.
Room service left something to be desired. The fries were soggy, not fresh for hours, the bread was stale.

The room was pleasant as were the grounds and setting
I had not been told beforehand that a nursing/rest home was a significant part of the setting. To be constantly set in a forest of zimmer frames and wheelchairs was unsettling. If people are comfortable with this, then fine. We weren't.

Beautiful, modern hotel. Friendly staff, great room, lovely setting. Close to the river, well maintained and very clean and comfortable. They had a BBQ party the evening we arrived- which was good value with really tasty food. We had a great evening. Thank you!!
The breakfast! It was terrible. After a great BBQ party I thought breakfast would be extra special. It wasn’t. Maybe the staff were hungover from the night before?

a lovely and well kept resort/spa.
drinking water availability in the rooms is an issue.
7.0 / 10.0
Nice restaurant and grounds. Rooms large.
Pillows were awful, too big. Double bed felt small and was right up against a desk which my feet kept hitting. On site indoor pool and steam and sauna rooms. But to call it a spa is a little too rich.

The property was run down and the front desk staff very bad at communicating. We did not get in our room until after 5 because it was not cleaned in time. The front desk agent told us to go the “spa” to relax. When we got to the spa there was no one there, we had to walk back to the front desk to get towels and robes. The towels and robes were old and very worn out and after getting g back to the spa there was still no one there to help or answer questions. The locker we tried to use was broken and the sauna room would not get hot

The hotel is in beautiful grounds, about 30 minutes walk from the centre of Tours with an option to take a tram nearby. Great location to combine peaceful relaxation and a city centre attractions. The room was large. Pool and spa were good.
No lobby in the new wing, so it was noisy outside the bedroom if near the entrance as we were. TV off line for 24 hours. Arrangements for car entry and exit to hotel not clear. Mix up with our deposit. Staff seem overstretched with events at hotel but were nice when asked for help.

It is a pretty property and our suite had a lovely view of the garden.
1. Check in is at 4pm which is already quite late. So to not have our room available until 4.20pm was annoying.
2. There are no porters or any offers of assistance with luggage.
3. Asked for a drink in the garden terrace and was told we couldn’t order drinks there despite other guests having drinks there
4. The most uncomfortable pillows I’ve ever encountered
5. Garage was closed when we went to leave creating confusion and stress.

The location
Booked on 10 January 2025 and paid extra for a castle room as a special treat for our second last day in France. We couldn’t access the room till 4pm and discovered we had the smallest cramped room in the castle! The 3 course menu ‘‘twas just average for the 42 euro charge per person.
The accommodation was not worth the money we paid months before.

An outstanding place to stay. Lovely setting and location. I had a small suite with a balcony overlooking the gardens. It was fabulous. Breakfast was also excellent. Lots of safe parking here.

Expensive. Restaurant was a bit disappointing. Risotto dish on the menu was not good.

The grounds of the hotel were lovely and authentic. We liked the spa.
Our junior suite was a good size and well laid out.
Location was 15 minutes walk from Tours which was fine for us and also 2 minutes from a tram.
Booking.com and the hotel should be more transparent about the fact that air conditioning is NOT actually available unless it’s the summer months. It was 30 degrees and we asked for air con to be turned on but were lied to initially and told it was us not using the thermostat correctly . When we said it was locked, they admitted that we couldn’t have it until summer even though we couldn’t sleep.
A lesson in hospitality and making guests welcome and comfortable, wouldn’t go a miss.
No robes, slippers, body lotions.
Restaurant and food mediocre.

Nice big bed - Breakfast was very good - They did move us to a different room on day 2 (but we had to move our own bags)
Travel down into Tours town centre is very very easy using the tram - if you are happy with a 5 minute walk to get to it.
It is expensive and we wanted to have a chateau experience but really the rooms are just non-descript, large luxury anonymous hotel rooms that could be in any 4 star hotel in any city, but you are not in the city so you don't get that benefit. The ground are nice, but the rooms allocated were at the back of the hotel with no view (just looking onto tree trunks, whereas the other side (where we asked to be moved to) were at least looking over the gardens.
Stupid things like only 2 tea bags provided in the room, and no cold milk or even sachets, we could get them from the reception - but really (?) in a luxury hotel (?).
We looked to get dinner as guests but they couldn't accommodate us, even though there were free tables, when we wanted drinks late in the evening we were not welcomed to sit in the main terrace area but put right at the edges so we weren't sitting with the diners, We weren't shown where the Spa etc was (which was kind of fine)
One of our party wasn't feeling great but wanted to have a snack outside of his room - They could serve him room service, but he couldn't have that served outside of the actual room!
Drinks were crazy expensive - even for a nice hotel! and when we wanted to finish the evening with an Espresso Martini they didn't have that on the menu - but no sense of "service" trying to work out if they could do it for us (although they had all the ingredients and they do make Cocktails ....

Good breakfast with cheeses, smoked salmon and more. Our room was upgraded to a spacious one and was clean and faced the beautiful garden. The bathroom was huge. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant and the staff was kind.
The location was far from the center, but we used our car. Another thing: the word chateau is misleading. Although the main building is in an old style, it is adjacent to buildings in a contemporary style so it is difficult to notice its uniqueness. The interior design is also completely modern. So don't expect to stay in a castle. You should know that the outdoor space is shared with retirement residences.

Great green location, amazing facilities like the spa/etc.
The restaurant chef and staff were nice and welcoming; however the food was as if taken off a conveyor belt - pretending to be elevated but relatively tasteless.

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful
Rooms were very nice and the grounds and location were lovely
Pillows didn’t work for me
Cooked breakfast was ok but not fabulous
Pool was a little cool and changing areas small

Pleasant and relaxing location.
Very comfortable and equipped family room.
No dedicated bar which was located in the restaurant.
Lots of outdoor seating wasn’t usable owing to rain.
Leisure facilities out of use.
Breakfast was very understaffed-tables we’re not cleared and it seemed rather chaotic.

The gardens are stunning, the room was very clean, luxurious and modern.
The bath was broken, and when I raised this, nobody seemed bothered despite me explaining for a suite part of the experience is to have a luxoours soak and especially after a long day of travelling, I absolutely love to have a bath and it totally spoilt the sense of using the room.
The speaker also was broken and after trying to get the bath to work and the speaker I gave up. It wasn't the best for a 317 euro price tag, not including breakfast. When I told the manager he said oh we will get it looked at thank you 😲
If you are going to charge such high prices you have to ensure you maintain things overall because of this I was dissapointed and didn't find if value for money. Its a shame as the location is great but I wouldn't return because of these problems.
