This could not have been better - colour and character and Rue Colbert around the corner!

I was thrilled to have found this characterful place at short notice. The room rate for the attic room, for one person, was a real reduction. It is nice when travelling alone not to have to pay for a double room. Although the room was up 3 flights of stairs, my luggage was taken up for me, so it wasn't a problem. I loved the view of the rooves from my attic window, and I love the green everywhere!

The reason I have not scored the bed comfort well is that I think the sheets were a bit itchy. I wonder if you are using an organic laundry detergent, because some of the harsher ones do cause this itching. It did make it difficult to fall asleep, but it is possible it was just me feeling itchy! There should be a tap that guests can fill water bottles from. And it would be good if you had some long-life oat milk in stock. I am just someone who prefers oat milk, but to learn that you had no dairy alternative at all was surprising, since so many people are dairy intolerant or vegan.

Definitely recommend

A lovely hotel in the center of Tours. Close to the station and the city center so very easy if you are doing La Loire a Vélo. The bike parking is very secure, in the hotel courtyard. Breakfast is also nice.

Fabulously quirky hotel.

Very colourful hotel with an eclectic mix of fixtures and furnishings. Lovely atmosphere and very comfortable room. Bed linen crisp and fresh, very inviting. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment. Fantastic location for restaurants, bars and sightseeing. Stairs were not a problem for us. Highly recommend.

Only one very small quibble. I would not have expected a hotel of this calibre to only provide paper cups for use with the tea/coffee making facilities. Just about ok in the bathroom but no-one wants to drink their first beverage of the day out of paper! Also not environmentally friendly. 18 rooms, 4 paper cups daily per room. Massive wastage. Host gave us actual cups upon request.

Relaxing and fabulous

The room was spotless, Lovely powerful shower and the bed and linens were sublime, we wished we had booked for longer. The breakfast was excellent too, lots of Choice and a fabulons Coffee machine. I adore the éclectique mix of china, so original!! We Will be back!

A delightful stay

The hosts Cyril & David were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast has an amazing selection. The place itself is very welcoming, clean and with a stylish decoration. The location is perfect in the downtown center of Tours. Few minutes 30 min car ride to the castle of Chenonceaux! We will come back!

A really great little hotel with lots of character and style.

We love this hotel and its style and the location is terrific. Breakfast is excellent too. The owners are friendly and helpful and overall it’s a favourite stopover.

Love the decor generally , though the room we stayed in this time (1) wasn’t our favourite, being rather functional and clearly designed for wheelchair users. Unlike in the rest of the hotel, the Wi-Fi didn’t function properly due to the room being across the courtyard.
