More of a boutique hotel in lieu of a chateau. Not walkable to town. Walkable to the tram that will take you to town. Not king bed. Two singles pushed together. Not 517 sq ft. 250 sq ft at best. Breakfast is basic. 2 onsite restaurants closed between 2 and 7. A bit disappointed to be honest.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic - location is perfect (for those travelling by car though), hidden from any roads, closed territory, beautiful chateau and the new building, very nice rooms, super comfortable. Breakfast is average, big deal is the egg station (possibility to order eggs in different shapes) - otherwise it would have been as average (if not bad) as everywhere in France. What was absolutely not understandable for me are the overall skills of the personnel (waiters mostly - the impression was, that all of them were hired yesterday - terrible service at dinner, just terrible. However, would like to say special thanks to the woman serving at breakfast (from Ukraine), sorry don't know the name - great service and attitude, like it should be. But overall, the hotel is great.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and within 20 minutes' walk to the city of Tours. The bedroom was lovely, very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We had constant problems with the TV and despite the staff looking at it three times it still didn't switch on consistently. The pool area was OK, although the sauna was not working during our stay and there weren't any spa treatments advertised - we didnt actually have time to have a massage etc so it wasn't a huge problem but the desk in the wellness area was never manned to even ask for details. It was awkward getting a drink from the bar in the evening if you weren't dining. The bar was difficult to access as it's in one of the rooms used for the restaurant and the cheese trolley was placed in the way. There were plenty of lovely places to sit in the lounge, sunroom or outside but it was definitely aimed more at diners rather than having a drink or two during the evening. The breakfasts were good quality with a large range of cooked and continental food available.

We did not get what we expected - one front desk gentleman seemed annoyed with us, the first night we opted to eat dinner at the hotel - it was not good-some other guests shared the same opinion. the next morning for breakfast the eggs were severely undercooked and they looked like “soup”. The buffet was sub par. Clearly not enough staff in dining rooms to keep up with the amount of guests eating there - I thought we were ending our month long trip with a resort- we did not feel we were in a resort which was also a shared facility for a senior retirement home and assisted living. we have nothing against that but was very surprised to see- overall we won’t be returning - they need to do something about their food and add more staff- they were overwhelmed at dinner and breakfast.

**"The name 'chateau' is misleading – this is just a hotel. Even the 'chateau' rooms are not of a high standard and lack any special atmosphere. During our trip, we stayed in several real chateau’s, and this one does not meet the standards. The spa was crowded and not clean. The only good thing was the hotel’s restaurant."**

It is a nice clean hotel. Our kids enjoyed the pool and we all enjoyed the restaurant for lunch both days. Service is a bit slow but we’re learning it’s like that in France and we need to slow down and enjoy :) the only complaint is the beds. They were not comfy at all. We had the junior suite and the pullout and the regular bed were both uncomfortable. But everything else we enjoyed. It is a bit further away from all the action but it was an easy walk to the train to the main areas

Our place was great - two king beds each in a separate room. I wished I had stay more days! You have access to the pool, spa, sauna and hammam included with your room, or you can book extra spa service like facials or massage. Breakfast was great. Although a short drive to the main town, but all really nice and worth the price!

Beautiful hotel tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood. We caught the tram downtown and were able to explore Tours quite easily. We had a suite that was so roomy along with a huge bathroom. We used the spa everyday to swim and relax. It was very clean and quiet. The gardens were so well kept and beautiful!

We stayed last year as a half way stop between our holiday destination and Calais. We really enjoyed coming back for the 3rd time. It’s a lovely quiet location, the hotel reserve a parking space for us as we have the bikes on the roof, we always get a lovely family room. The food wasn’t so good this time, very bland (I had prawns, my husband the salmon ratatouille) the children’s meals are very plain but they eat them and it’s fine. The beds are comfortable and large. Only errors this time was that we requested the bed be made up as a twin and it wasn’t and we had no water when we arrived.

Great property in a built up area but peaceful. Lacking attention to detail on upkeep and maintence and looks like it’s seen better days. To be honest, it seems there’s a staff challenge, service is chaotic, dinner was average at best wanting to deliver far more, service at dinner was mayhem! Gardens look unloved, outside areas need a good bit of attention, room was great. Value for money for a quick night stop but could deliver so so much more.

Great welcome and the hotel and grounds are lovely. Service was a bit slow for lunch on arrival and I had to go back to reception to find some waiting staff but once at the table they were all very good. Dinner was superb. The room was lovely and breakfast on the terrace also sublime. Would definitely return.

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Room was very comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. The only downside for us was that we didn’t want a big meal in the evening and there was nowhere to just have a snack other than room service and on such a beautiful night we didn’t want to be stuck in our room so had no choice as the hotel is a bit out on a limb and you can’t walk into the city very easily. Other than that though we had a very pleasant stay.

Easy, secure parking. Naomi the receptionist was extremely welcoming and informative. Room was clean on arrival but we had to ask for more coffee pods. Towels were not changed during our 2 night stay, for eco purposes we were ok with that but if you are fussy about fresh towels daily you’ll probably have to ask. All restaurant staff were lovely, food was good but the menu does not change. Spa area very basic so a bit annoying that after a swim/sauna there are no showers so you have to walk back to your room in a wet swimsuit. However plus points are that it’s very dog friendly, lovely grounds and about a 25 minute walk into the old town.

This is a great hotel to stay if you rent a car to visit the Loire Valley. It is close to the city of Tours and it has a pleasant environment in the hotel. Staff is helpful and kind. Breakfast needs a few adjustments considering how busy the hotel is, like a second coffee machine and toaster. The room had a mini kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and utensils. The pool temperature was slightly cold for me . Overall, I recommend the hotel and definitely I will be back
