We stayed here for one night in an economic double room, on the first floor. This is a nice and well located small hotel. The hotel sits in a residential area which we found to be quite safe and very quiet. The lady who owns the place is lovely, she speaks English and communication with her was very good, right from the very moment we booked our room via Booking.com. She checked us in, informed us about the breakfast and hotel access etc - and the whole check-in process went very smoothly. The hotel building itself wasn't new but it was very obvious that this owner works hard to keep their property clean and neat. We found our room to be very clean, the bathroom was clean, and the shower jet was amazing, my wife kept complimenting it. The mattress was very comfortable, the pillows were good, the bedsheets and towels were clean. The hotel even provided extra pillows in the closet, along with a fan to use when the weather became too warm. The nearby tram stop (Christ Roi stop) is within walking distance, which adds several bonus points to the hotel. Just 4 stops from Christ Roi, the tram can take you to the old town, where there are loads of good places to eat. We would definitely consider staying in this hotel again, the next time we are in Tours.

Friendly Welcome So clean There is something very special about hotel Italia: Short walk to great bars and eateries. Tours we love Tudor style buildings and great atmosphere on the way to the motorway stocked up at the local bakery which is exquisite.

The property was sparkling clean. Excellent shower. Very comfy bed with crisp white linen and good pillows. Very quiet location with ample parking in front of the hotel. The hostess was friendly and welcoming.

The only thing that would have improved my visit would be tea making facilities in the room

Very amenable and helpful. Changed our room with shower for a room with bath very readily and lent us a kettle and cups for our stay. Friendly staff.

Decor a little bit 'tired' but that's a minor quibble and it didn't detract from our stay.

Nice hotel, would stay again. Good location, easy to find. Free Parking available. Front of house warm and welcoming. 'Economical' Bedroom was larger than expected (as we were told it was tiny!) beds comfortable. Clean. Table and chairs was a nice feature.

On arrival at 6.30pm we ordered hot drinks but we could not sit outside to enjoy them in the evening sunshine as the outside area was Closed and only available at breakfast time. In Room 11 the toilet was awkwardly positioned, if you are an adult (with over 38" hips) you would need to be able to squeeze your bottom between the basin and the shower in order to sit on it! hahahaha Good shower, but sink much too big, it only needs a small wash hand basin in that room and then the toilet wouldn't have been so awkward to use!

Convenient hotel for visiting Tours and the Val de Loire if you are travelling by car.

The room was quite large and the bathroom very modern and had a nice shower. The hotel also has a car park which is very convenient if you’re doing the valley by car. The breakfast is very good and the staff are amiable.

Clean and very comfortable accommodation close to the heart of Tours.

The room was very spacious and clean. It was a short drive to a shopping area, so very conveniently situated. Yet the neighbourhood was quiet. Though there isn't a restaurant per se, the lady on reception made us tea when we arrived for a small fee, which was very welcome.

Clean room. Tiny but well agenced.

Für ein Französisches Frühstück war es sehr üppig. Das Hotel ist einfach ausgestattet und mit weiblicher Hand liebevoll gestaltet und - ungewöhnlich für ein kleines inhabergeführtes Hotel in Frankreich: die sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Dame sprach fließend Englisch und die Betten waren hervorragend. Das ganze Haus macht den Eindruck, als habe hier jemand mit mehr Hingabe als Geld alles selbst gemacht von der Renovierung bis zur Küche. Das ist großartig, weil genau das das Gegenteil ist zu den sterilen Kästen, zu denen all die Hotelketten geworden sind. Wir waren Ende November außerhalb jedweder Reisezeit da und das Hotel war doch gut besucht von reisenden Kaufleuten und Monteuren, die den Eindruck erweckten, Stammgäste zu sein. Wir werden wiederkomen. Es gibt eindeutig zum Hotel gehörend, weniger Parkplätze vor dem Haus, als Hotelzimmer im Haus und das Hotel liegt in einen Wohngebiet, 6 Gehminuten von einer Tramstation entfernt. Die mit Preisen ausgezeichnete Straßenbahn bringt einen binnen weiterer 6 Minuten bis in die betühmte Altstadt. Das Parken ringsum ist erlaubt und kostenlos, aber Abends wird das Gebiet von Anwohnern mit Autos gefüllt. Es lohnt sich das rechtzeitige Erscheinen am Nachmittag, wenn man einen Parkplatz vor dem Hotel oder in der unmittelbaren Nähe ergattern will, da eine Parkplatzreservierung nicht möglich ist. Das Hotel wird mit viel Fleiß und Hingabe von einer Person erfolgreich alleine geführt, eben der Inhaberin. Das macht den großartig niedrigen Preis aus. Dadurch sind keine Kapazitäten frei für Parkplatzreseevierungsbetreuungen. Dafür muss man Verständnis haben.

Der Flur vor den Zimmern ist sehr dunkel. Cool wäre es, wenn die manuellen Lichtschalter durch Bewegungsmelder ersetzt würden, das im Grunde angenehme Licht ein zu schalten. Das Badezimmer ist sehr, sehr einfach, aber das wird durch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ausgeglichen.
