Lovely hotel, cozy stay

A very pleasant stay. The hotel is beautiful, spotless and feels recently renovated. Staff were friendly, attentive and always willing to help.

We did end up with a room that was a bit darker and with a lower ceiling, which wasn’t reflected in the photos on Booking. However, it was still a pleasant stay, and in the evenings it actually felt very cozy.

Great location, very clean and spacious room with great staff!

Really good location. 5 minute walk to the centre with many restaurants and shops nearby. 5 minute cab ride from the train station. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly!

Delightful property in the heart of the Old Town, surrounded by great shops and restaurants and key sights.

The bed was a little saggy so not great support.

Perfect hotel, lovely staff and brilliant location

Highly recommend staying at this hotel. Location was perfect for walking all around Salzburg. Bonus was free coffee/tea 24/7. The set up downstairs was superb- loved the honesty bar so at the end of each day we could unwind with a glass of wine/beer

Great location, under renovation.

The room was ok, the bed was comfortable. The location was great and easy to walk to all the attractions. The lounge area was nice and there was coffee available in the breakfast area all the time.

The building was under repair so it looked like a construction site inside, we almost wanted to leave when we went inside. People were renovating in the room above us at all hours of the day and night. The room had no facilities, no tea or coffee. The bathroom was small and the shower head was broken.

Very charming hotel in the old town

We stayed at this charming property some 2 decades ago during our honeymoon and wanted to be back with our grown daughter this time. The property was recently renovated. It’s has retained its charm and beautiful vintage vibes. It’s very clean and areas are cosy. We liked the lounge area and free coffee and tea area. Thank you for the upgrade and breakfast. We will be back again.

I loved my stay at the Hotel Amadeus and recommend it highly.

This is a super property on a lovely street, in a great location. My single room was cozy, which is to say beautifully furnished and just large enough. The bathroom was disproportionately and surprisingly large.

Traveling in early-mid October meant mild days and cool nights, so I chose to keep my window open much of the time. However there was a lot of street noise due to the proximity of several restaurants and bars. Also Salzburg is a city of churches, which means bells every 15 minutes and a cacophony on the hour. There is a church right next door to the hotel and an abbey up on the adjacent hill. So when it’s time to sleep, the window must be closed! Fortunately that solved the problem nicely.

Charming, comfortable hotel in a great location

Wonderful location to walk the city. Very quiet, overlooking the church graveyard (like an arboretum more than creepy!), and had access to what felt like a private balcony despite being available to everyone. Free coffee every morning with croissants.

There was unexpected construction work that was very noisy and dusty during the day, but the hotel compensated us a bit for the inconvenience.

The front desk was very very friendly and helpful. The two connecting rooms worked very well for our daughter and us. Beautifully appointed. Easy to walk wherever we wanted to go.

The lighting was poor by the bedsides. We needed more places to plug in because I have a sleeping apparatus which needs power. Unpacking the car was a bit awkward and finding where to enter Linzergasse was a problem on arrival.

Love it!

I stayed only 1 night. I booked the single room. At first I was worried the size was too small but when I arrived I could see it is perfect for a solo traveler. It was very clean and well maintained. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom with a decent size and super clean. Location is simply amazing, close enough to all attractions but not in the middle of the hectic area. I’ll recommend it 100% Staff was very helpful as well !

Needed to stay longer. A lovely place!

Location, quiet even during Oktoberfest. Clean, and the most lovely staff. Access was so easy to everything. Big bright rooms and the water pressure was excellent. Loved facing the court and the lovely fresh air and church bells made it feel so relaxing.

Very Relaxing

The location was amazing right on the pedestrian passage which made it very easy access. The rooms were spacious and the staff really friendly and helpful.

It was warm in Salzburg and they only had fans in the rooms which made it very uncomfortable to sleep. The beds are tilting to one side so one has the feeling that of falling off the bed.

The location is excellent and the terraces overlooking the churchyard are delightful and very restful

There is no air conditioning and with windows facing into the street which take the sun from sunrise until sunset, the single rather ancient fan was insufficient for comfort.

What a nightmare!

The location. The rest was ugly

We paid 350 euro per night for a room who was small l, ugly, with no ac and no refrigerator facing the cemetery. Not a nice experience at all. We stayed 3 nights and I could not wait to leave. I hated this hotel. Don’t go if you don’t want to have nightmares.

Free coffee and cacao in the hotel. Nice terrace. Great location and not expensive parking near the hotel. You may choose to have breakfast in hotel or to go to the nearest bakery or cafe. I strongly recommend this hotel!

We booked the room with seasonal discount, however the full price would be too expensive. There is no ventilation in bathroom. The towels could be better.

Over all stay was very pleasant.

The location is fantastic, my only recommendation would be due to the heat a fridge either in the room or in the dining area that guests could use would be very helpful to store our water/drinks.

The room had not been properly cleaned prior to us checking in, there were someone’s personal Items left in the bedside table and plastic rubbish under the radiator from a previous guests.

Lovely rooms and so convenient. Aesthetic was lovely too. We had a heatwave while we were there and there was a fan in the room which was a lifesaver.

We weren’t told about the room cleaning situation I.e. if you have the room cleaned everyday (like all hotels!) then you have to pay extra. The breakfast was meagre. Would prefer either no breakfast at all or else pay more for the room and get a decent breakfast.

Met expectations. Great location in old town Salzburg. Rooms were large and perfect for our family

loved the location of the hotel and the ability to park in the public spaces overnight was convenient. The rooms which we had were very spacious. Appreciated the safety of the hotel as well. Loved the back shared balconies overlooking the cemetery. Very serene place to enjoy morning coffee or evening drink.

Bathroom shower needed a good cleaning. Lack of mini fridge in rooms is a negative as a traveler being able to keep some snacks/drinks cool in room is helpful.
