Disappointing stay, we wouldn’t go back.

Location

Staff unwelcoming, they don’t even greet you when come through the doors. Bed sheets were scratchy, shower with poor flow. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. We very rarely leave negative reviews but we felt this was especially poor and wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Great location and the spa is a real gem!

Location in old town was great for exploring and the cafes and restaurants. The spa was really lovely, a hidden gem, pool, areas to relax, sauna, steam room and infrared sauna. Towels provided and water. Perfect after a day of exploring the town.

Bar lacked a bit of atmosphere but that might have just been the time we went. It did not detract from a lovely stay.

Comfortable stay, great location

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the suite was spotless. We stayed in a suite for two nights and appreciated the generous storage space—even though we didn’t end up using it all, it was nice to have. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location right by the main street with shops on this side of the river.

The bathtub has a sliding glass panel next to the sink whose purpose wasn’t very clear. It can slide without realizing it, causing water to spill, which was a bit unfortunate. Also, the room took a long time to warm up—we mainly relied on the bathroom’s electric heater, as the AC didn’t increase the room temperature very quickly. Wi-Fi speed could also be improved.

Scores highly in all categories of worth to a solo explorer

Location was great. A quiet street just off the main high street and within easy walking distance to old town and many bus stops. Great heating and always comfortably warm. A small but very serviceable pool and wellness centre inc steam room. Great price comparatively for the location. Admittedly a no-frills bedroom, but with everything a solo traveller could require.

I myself was perfectly content. But my idea of excellent is having all my requirements without necessarily having the luxuries. I was pleased, for example, to find that my shower included a very small but usable bathtub. Some travellers will by proxy complain about the bathtub not being full sized. So I would like to qualify that my idea of ‘excellent’ might not be everyone’s. Similar, bedroom decor was a bit dated. I don’t care for such superficial touches, but some might.

Perfect relaxing stay!

This property was great!!! Amazing location, great facilities, we could use the sauna and well-being facilities. The tablet we could use to watch YouTube and it was very spacious. It had good views from our room and the staff were helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend!!

Charming hotel, excellent locations and facilities with attentive staff

Good location for the old town. Nice traditional building, newly refurbished and decorated inside. Breakfast room was nicely laid out with plenty of space between tables. Spa facilities excellent.

A beautiful stay!

Check in staff and process were wonderful. A very welcoming experience. Breakfast staff and layout were wonderful. A very European start to the day! Cozy, comfortable, inviting, friendly. I'd definitely stay here again! Location was perfect - easy walk to most places for shopping, dining, touring!

A relaxing short stay in a lovely hotel

The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful in a really light and spacious room. The staff were lovely. This hotel is in a quiet part of the city but very close to many bars and restaurants. Lovely view from the room

Good Sight Seeing by Day, Great Spa by evening!

The Spa in the hotel was excellent and was exactly i was expecting. The Location of the property was superb 1 minute walk from several restaurants. The staff was very friendly.

The bathrooms in the room were definitely under par considering the rest of the property was so good. To be specific the showers in the hotel room were not that nice. The showers in the spa were so much better.

Concierge very welcoming and helpful. Room well appointed and a good size. Good breakfast choice with pleasant service. They have not forgotten the art of the genuine smile and this gives a very professional air to the hotel. Great location and Salzburg a very attractive and walkable city. We much enjoyed our trip and the great attention given by Daniel on the front desk.

Lovely welcoming place

This was a hotel where I felt welcomed-I was invited to sit down in comfort while I checked in, a far cry from the usual scrabbling around balancing your bag and trying to find your passport! The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, suggesting how to make the most of Salzburg. Nothing was too much trouble. I stayed in the annexe across the road which was very quiet. The spa was lovely and a welcome treat after a long day's travelling. The breakfast was fantastic, so much variety and such pleasant staff.

The location is ideal. Close to the old city but not on a noisy street. Beautiful facility. The pool and spa were a real bonus. I walked a lot and it’s nice to recover and relax with a swim and sauna. The staff are really friendly. Breakfast was great.

The room got stuffy at night even with windows open, but I learned on the second day i could close the outside blinds and keep the room cooler. But ideally there would be a fan and indoor shutters to easily cool the room.

Lovely stay in a very welcoming hotel in Salzburg.

Easy access to historical area of Salzburg, very comfortable room, great breakfast, easy parking in garage 2 blocks away… and very gracious staff. Helmut helped a lot in getting me into the garage, and making sure air worked well. He and Peter were very nice to me at all times.

Loved the hotel, but it is behind a barrier as you have to get a code from the hotel to drive in front of the hotel.
