Ideal location in the old town. Handy for the Christmas markets and the New Year fireworks display. Lots of lovely places to eat around the area and great walks up to the Fortress. The bedroom was warm and clean. Staff were exceptional, very friendly. Breakfast was plentiful and met ours needs perfectly.

Our bathroom was quite small. But this was only a slight niggle.

Convenient location in the old town. Close to the Christmas markets and Hohensalzburg. Ice skating was a treat in Mozartplatz. Try the Irish pub near by for a yummy burger and chips.

Breakfast was very expensive (26€ per person!) and I’d suggest a quick visit to a local bakery to find something cheaper.

Nice hotel but expected more for the price.

The location is terrific - right in the heart of old Salzburg. The room was renovated and beds were comfortable.

It was a bit loud as the window faced a courtyard with a restaurant’s back door. There was a fair amount of activity and doors slamming or garbage being disposed of. There was also some mechanical noise that went on all night, which while not loud was a continual background noise. The temperature could only be controlled by turning on or off a radiator. It was a bit warm overnight unless the window was cracked.

Excellent location in Old Town.

The location: only a short easy stroll from all the Old Town has to offer. It is a small family run hotel, staff are friendly and helpful, especially during breakfast. Rooms are equipped with the basics and ours had very comfortable beds.

There are not any staff members on the premises overnight. In case of an emergency guests are asked to ring the hotel number and a member of staff will answer.

Lovely hotel with great access to all that Salzberg has to offer.

It was literally a 2 minute walk to the main Christmas market. Many restaurants and bars close at hand and yet it was very quiet. Smart decor in reception, breakfast room and bedroom but with some old world charm in other areas. Shampoo, shower gel, coffees and tea available in room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

I liked the hospitality and service mind of the staff here. Definitely worthwhile.

Location is very good, even though it is not located right among shops (walking street), the distance is walkable to everywhere. Breakfast is not much variety but quality is good and the staff are super nice. There is a taxi stop nearby the hotel, quite convenient on the check out and head to train station.

Just the sizes of room and bed are a bit small. Not a big deal.

Location!!! Breakfast was very good most perfect soft cooked eggs. Nice variety for various diets. Staff was excellent and accommodating.

Just a little thing. Not enough hooks in the bathroom. And rather tight to manage two people’s luggage but we managed.

Historic Salzburg, food, fun and Mozart.

The location was ideal, right in the centre and on a quiet street. The hotel was attractive and well decorated. Our “changed” room was quiet and had a bath. Check out is late (midday).

I had booked a twin room (2 single beds) specifically as we were two friends. This was confirmed by the hotel. We were actually given a double room on arrival. Although this was changed and we were given an “upgrade”, the room had one double and a small, low “put-up” bed which was only adequate as I am of slight build and we were only staying one night. In future, if a hotel is unable to provide a room with TWO equal size beds this should be clarified at booking.

The hotel is well priced for being located in the city center. That staff were helpful and the room was comfortable.

Driving into the city center to drop off bags was a bit confusing/stressful. Next time I would park and just walk the bags in.

Bad taste in my mouth with regards to customer service in Salzburg

The manager attempted to charge $50 euros for using the washing machine!!! There was a room at the end of our hall…door open, no signs. Inside, were two washing machines, an ironing board and a dryer ~ since the “hotel” offered no laundry service, I assumed machines were available for guests. When returning to throw my wet clothes in the dryer, I got yelled at and told they weren’t for guests. I apologized, and told them I would get my bag and just hang my wet clothes in my room ~ when I went back, door was locked and I could not see my items. Ten minutes later, I saw them wet and thrown in a basket outside of the locked door! At check out, we were told that it was $50 for laundry service! What horrible customer service ~ DO NOT RECOMMEND 😡

Lovely quaint hotel with a fantastic location

Large room for single occupancy. Nicely decorated and characterful with the beams. Warm welcome from the reception team. Superb location which felt safe.

Staff not always present on reception, I was unable to get their attention one morning. Drainage smell from bathroom now and again.

Lovely stay in beautiful Salzburg

Great location for central Salzburg and just a 2 minute walk from the bus stop for the bus from the airport. Our room was big. We had a triple and there were 2 bathrooms. Lovely and clean with nice toiletries. Staff seemed helpful but we didn't need to speak to them apart from booking in and leaving. They gave us a jug of milk for tea and coffee in the room.

Noisy in the early morning due to bells, street cleaners and bin men, but better than having a dirty town. We had to have windows open as it was so hot. No air con, just a fan. Breakfast was very expensive so we had it out in one of the many nearby cafes.

Fraudulent representation of room quality.

Proximity to the city center. Plenty of local restaurants to eat in.

We were “sold” a premium triple room with plenty of light, double windows and a separating curtain for our teenage son. What we got was totally substandard, a basic triple room with minimal and very hot. It’s fraud to misrepresent your rooms with photographs. We booked in December 2024 so I’m not going to buy the suggestion all the premium rooms were already sold. This is much a booking failure as a hotel admin.

Beautiful hotel to stay in to see the sights of Salzburg

This a beautiful hotel located in the old town, just round the corner from the main sights of Salzburg. The room was nice and spacious, well equipped with beautiful views of the fortress.

It was very pricey however this is a top quality hotel right in the centre of the old town.

The city is nice with nice weather

Its location near the city center , the receptionist with long bold hair is very helpful and kind, also the lady from the breakfast kitchen is very kind and helpful

It’s expensive, no air conditioning, I came for vacation so I need to sleep little bit longer am used to before waking up early for work but the house keeper was knocking and opening the door from 8 am to 9 am and what he and sometimes she doing only changing the carbage and arranging the bed , no room tissue, the room floor and toilet floor is dirty not cleaned or wiped with obvious dirt and not cleaned I don’t know what these people doing . The breakfast menu is very limited

Great trip and a wonderful time in Salzburg.

I have stayed at this family run hotel in the Altstadt of Salzburg many times. It is close to everything I want to visit, rooms are clean and comfortable, Nice breakfast in the morning and wonderful staff. They kept me informed about all of the local activities. They had a 3 day music festival that I wasn’t expecting, but it wonderful to hear all kinds of music all over town, and all free. Staff kept me posted on the things I shouldn’t miss.

Location was excellent, beds comfy, staff very helpful.

Only downside was no air conditioning but we managed. Shower head placement was odd and caused a lot of water to get on the floor. Also the hotel staff departs at 9 so no amenities or help available (we wanted ice)

Clean, as advertised. More spacious than thought and large bathroom. Lift and buffet breakfast ( home cooked food). Good location below fort and able to walk everywhere. Paid parking close by. Nicely decorated. Lots cupboard space.
