Claudia and Jorge were amazing hosts, waited up for us to arrive late in the evening to tour us around and assist with luggage to our room. My husband and I were starting our babymoon in Salzburg, we were greatly surprised by a complimentary room upgrade - spacious, incredibly cozy, and well decorated! Loved the walkability to great shops, cafes, and historical siyes!

What a wonderful place to stay! My daughter and I stayed for 3 nights in December and loved it. So quiet, perfect location and stunning attention to detail. The lounge/fireplace/bar/games room etc etc was brilliant. Such a lovely chilled communal space to gather at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this hotel - you will not be disappointed! it really is a serious gem.
nothing - it was simply superb

Unique property with serenity, comfort and beauty in a balance. The caretakers were courteous and knowledgeable and provided us
With the support and direction needed when visiting a new location. Would love to return and stay for at least a week to both further explore Salzburg
And truly appreciate the warmth and tranquility of the Property.

The Townhouse is the most unique hotel we’ve stayed in - more like being hosted in a luxury apartment. We absolutely loved the style/decor and our whole stay was warm and comfortable. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly and we felt they took pride in the house and were concerned to ensure we had a good stay. It’s without doubt the loveliest place we’ve stayed at. The location can’t be beaten - tucked away in a quiet corner but in the absolute heart of the old town. Salzburg is a beautiful city we hope to return to and we wouldn’t bother looking elsewhere to stay - we very much hope to return to the Townhouse! Can’t recommend highly enough.
Everything was perfect

My wife and I stayed in a beautiful room in a fantastic location below the fortress, close to the cathedral, and in the heart of the pedestrian-only old town (which was especially good since I ran the Mozart 50K race that ended nearby). The building is about 800 years old and is gorgeous, including an entire floor with a giant living and dining room and kitchen for the guests. We ate dinner there and I had breakfast the morning of the race and rarely saw other guests, as there are only a few rooms, so you will almost have the entire place to yourself. It also has a courtyard where you can sit. And it was ethereal to hear the cathedral's choir from our room. The staff, including the charming manager, were wonderful. He helped us carry our luggage up a hill (do not let your Uber or cab driver drop you off further away because they do not have the code to get through the gates) and even went to a store to get us non-dairy milk.

We had an exceptional stay at Townhouse Weisses Kreuz. The property is absolutely beautiful, it has been very cleverly designed to make the most of the stunning period features without compromising on any of the modern facilities you expect from a high-end hotel. The location is perfect, right in the centre of the Old Town and walking distance to everything we wanted to see. The staff were so helpful, they made us feel incredibly welcome, offered lots of good advice and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a truly fabulous stay and I would throughly recommend it.
I only wish we stayed longer. We will have to return!

If you love interiors you will love this hotel. Claudia was brilliant before we arrived with instructions etc and greeted us on arrival which was really nice! The hotel has been curated with so many thoughtful and stylish pieces even down to the little leather pieces around well used areas of the wall tacked in beautifully with brass tacks (he have stolen that idea for our cottage back home!) Water in the room and wifi available there is a lounge downstairs available with coffee and snacks etc if you wish. The bed was SUPER comfy, luxurious quality linens and nice and quiet. LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️
Going Home and not getting time to use the steam room / sauna :(

The Townhouse Weisses Kreuz was our splurge for our 15-day Christmas Market excursion. We were only 300 meters from the Christmas Market yet in an oasis of our own. The room was spacious and the beds were amazing. The overall decor is spectacularly finished much as it must have looked 300 years ago, yet everything (light switched, bathroom appliances, elevator!) was super modern. The highlight of the stay was Jorge, our host. Aside from being a very friendly man, he was super informative and shared insights that made our stay amazing (like giving us a heads up about the Krampus at the market our first night there, something we probably would have missed; or like suggesting the Triangle when we asked where we might get authentic Austrian cuisine in a casual setting -- we have the BEST schnitzel ever!) Thanks, Jorge!
The ONLY thing was the price. You pay for what you get and we got it all: great location, great service, wonderful and informative/helpful hosts, super breakfast, amazing bed and bath (yes a bath and a separate shower), etc. And it was the most expensive place we stayed on our 15-day Christmas Market excursion. We splurged and loved it!

Nicely hidden and discreet in appearance; extremely tasteful design and very attentive service; very thought through to make stay as comfortable as possible
Ipad near the toilet, including google search history of previous guests. Just as a recommendation: drinking water in the steam room would be great.

Everything! Every detail in this property is spectacular even down to the light switches. The hosts are beyond helpful and thoughtful. This hotel is so good that we returned here a spontaneous second time during our trip to Austria and spent an additional two nights here after a first night at the beginning of our trip. If you book this hotel, I guarantee you will not be disappointed, you will continue to find things you love. The beds are the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in too. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. It really made our trip to Austria special.
If I could find any single one thing, which isn’t even a problem (in fact it would probably ruin the look and feel of the room putting one in) it would have been helpful to have a fridge in the room. However there is a fridge in the lounge / kitchen area where there is also an honesty bar area so like I said, not really a problem.
