A nice hotel but would not be at the top of my list to stay there again.

Good location, acceptable breakfast and warm comfortable room. Friendly staff and the bathroom had been nicely modernised with excellent facilities.

There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. There is no bar in the hotel to have a drink - its down in the basement with access off the street. Also there is no restaurant run by the hotel. It is sub let to another company. The street outside can be noisy on an evening into the early hours.

Reception gave me wrong info for 3 times about tourism office that was closed On Sunday. Comfortable stay in a perfect location

Location was the best. Right in the middle of the old town and within walking distance to two beautiful Christmas markets, the toy museum and the Fortress.

Wifi connection was frustratingly slow and at times didn’t work at all.

Wonderful location for Christmas Markets

Excellent location & great daytime staff. Hotel was clean & quiet and perfect to enjoy the Christmas Markets.

Evening staff didn’t make our taxi reservation as requested. Thankfully the daytime staff quickly solved the issue, so we didn’t miss our train.

Great location and great staff at the Hotel Elefant

Great location for Old Town Salzburg! Loved the fact that there was limited drivability on the streets in Old Town area. Many shops and restaurants and coffee shops/bakeries. Pretty quiet with double windows. Staff was very friendly. We were very pleased to be able to get two twin beds.

I don't think that we had any real complaints. The only thing that was slightly annoying was the bed base being a little noisy when someone moved on the bed.

Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful.

Great location for walking around through old town Salzburg. Bed was comfortable, modern & quiet with ample storage. Bathroom was small, but adequate.

Shower was not full enclosed, so bathroom floor got wet when showering.

We had a wonderful and large room, it was very clean and updated. Very comfortable bed.

Perfect location just across the river from the Eiffel Tower. The metro is very close (Passy station), also close by are good restaurants and shops . The rooms are recently renovated and have USB ports.

Breakfast buffet was generous, but 25 Euro a piece. Being Salzburg that is typical. Our room was comfortable, and the location was superb! Staff was helpful. The room was spacious.

The room set up was a little unusual with a small step up from the bed area to the sitting area. One of the ceiling lights buzzed, but we didn't use it so that was ok.

To make it clear…..restaurant attached to hotel is NOT ran by Hôtel employees. We came in one evening and wanted to have a desert and coffee to end the evening….. We were refused service/ refused a table because we were not going to eat an entree. There were multiple tables available and no people waiting to eat. Was told “we are not a coffee shop” with a very snotty attitude. Did not waste time with them for the duration of our stay.

Very nice stay with perfect location!

The breakfast should be for all guests as it would be easier for everyone, even if included in room rate. We only paid for one breakfast for our 3 travelers and she didn’t always want the breakfast. Others just wanted coffee and croissant, but weren’t allowed to get it.

We loved the modern amenities while you all have preserved the history of your beautiful building.

Best stay ever in Salzburg.

The hotel is in a fantastic location and pur room was comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful over a change in plans. And the waiter on outside drink duty who then served us lunch the next day made our day by being funny, kind and friendly. Well worth staying and eating here.

We recommend, and would stay at, Hotel Enfant again.

Hotel Elefant is a beautiful hotel, more like a large inn. The room (that included a queen size bed, desk, couch, table, large wardrobe and air conditioning was clean, spacious & comfortable The continental breakfast of coffee and sweets was a nice way to start our day. The location is perfect for walking to many historic sights, and across the river to the newer part of Salzburg.

Our gps kept trying to direct us onto roads that are blocked off. We didn’t do enough research in advance to know that you must park in a public garage that is literally carved into a mountain across the river. You can then walk through the underground tunnel or over the bridge to get to the hotel. Driving in this historic area of Salzburg is by permit for cabs, deliveries and residents only. This is wonderful as it preserves the area. If driving, ask the hotel for the map in advance.

Breakfast wasn’t included however I did pay one morning and it was just ok however nothing else was open.

I did ask for an iron and they must only have one so I don’t get until the next day and I had to go down and get it. Thought it would have been a nice touch to bring it to my room.

Salzburg is pricey and I would expect the hotel to reflect the price - rooms seemed incomplete.

Breakfast was great - staff very courteous.

Rooms did not live up to the price. Appeared incomplete as if the budget constraints existed. Expected much more for the cost. Location was great - made up for the lack of furnishings. If doing over, I would have pick a more complete hotel at a higher price for the full experience. Cleanliness was good, but over all feel was an overpriced discount hotel with a great location.
