A disappointing stay in an outdated, smoky hotel that looked nothing like the photos.

Location near to center

The hotel advertises itself as family-friendly based on the photos, but the pictures are outdated. Renovation works are ongoing, and drilling started as early as 7:50 a.m. The restaurant is located in the middle of the hotel, so the smell of food and cigarette smoke spreads throughout the building and into the rooms. Since the windows face the courtyard above the restaurant, opening them doesn’t help with ventilation. For a “family hotel,” everything is heavily affected by cigarette smell. The parking area is cluttered with construction materials, and in the morning my car was covered in dust. The hotel itself is old and run-down, with at least 5–6 years between the photos and the reality. Overall, it felt misleading and very disappointing.

it is not the first time I stay. It is a very unusual designed hotel. It seems to leave in a tale. It is positioned in the center close to shopping and restaurants. staff was nice. room was clean and fully equipped. bed was comfortable. internet service was good. there is internally a wonderful restaurants with fantastic beer. Breakfast was perfect

Ok, this Hotel is something really different in terms of admosphere and well situated in the city center. Parking direct in the hotel is something really nice and you can also eat and drink there. Going to the city center is made in 2 minutes walk.

The age of the hotel in terms of finishing is really bad and very old. The real issue is for me the people working at the reception, not really friendly, cold and old admosphere. At the breakfast it was much more better. And the place to eat and drink is really a desaster, who goes there? We have take drink and eat in the city center with amazing restaurants and possibilities to drink bear in a nice admosphere.

Good to be again at the Kuebler !

I have been staying at this hotel many times since 2007. It is still completely crazy - I don't want to stay anywhere else in Karlsruhe. But don't misunderstand me: it is clean, well run, and the staff is serious and professional.

Nothing - any change for the "better" will (unfortunately) sooner or later destroy the spirit and the atmosphere of this hotel.

It wasn't clear to me what type of room would be the themed room, so we ended up staying in a standard room. Unfortunately the room was rather dusty. The walls are quite thin.

don’t expect to much and take it with a pinch of curiosity

it is very very interesting and creative. spacious as well

it’s quite run down. smelly in parts (not the room though) we had to wait for the receptionist to return to desk upon arrival and departure. the hair dryer didn’t work and the was cigarette buds on the balcony.

Rooms where clean and friendly staff

Old hotel which looks like it has seen better days. Rooms should be outfitted with airconditioning, especially since the hotel is located near busy streets and opening up the Windows lets in a lot of noise. Price was high compared to hotels in the area that had same or better facilities.

Crazy, but in a good way (Cave jr suite)

All rooms are supposedly all very different - so I can really only review our room: We had the 'Cave'-themed 'junior suite', which is, as you could guess from the name, quite a dark room with a prehistoric theme. It's weird, but in a good way. Every detail of the room is made to fit the theme. It has crazy furniture (a wooden bath on legs with a gargoyle-like tap, for example) and it has lovely starry lights in the ceiling to create a cozy atmosphere. It's a spacious room, which I guess can be split into two rooms because there's two showers, bathrooms and beds. To get a better idea of this suite: check the attached pictures. :) Would definitely recommend if you look for a room that's kinda crazy. You'll likely not forget this hotel, ever.

Honestly, the room was a little dusty. It seemed as if this room hadn't been used for a while - when you sat on the 'sofa' (or 2nd bed) it smelled a little musty and there were some tiny cobwebs in some corners of the ceiling and below furniture. Also, be aware that it's quite dark, because this room is partly below the ground. That is to be expected, with a room that's called 'The Cave', but good to know in advance anyway. We stayed only one night here, I wouldn't advice to stay any longer - I would chose a lighter room for that. About the property: we had a look around the rest of the hotel and it looked a little dated. As if it's not quite finished, but the construction sites you find here and there in the hotel building and garden seem abandoned and made us wonder if it will ever be finished. Anyway, no noise nuisance from construction, so that's good ;-) There's lots of potential for this hotel if they ever get it done.

A wonderful hotel with a fantasy theme. The room was very large and well designed. It had a beautiful and comfortable bathroom. Plenty of closet space. A comfortable couch. Desk, chairs, table. The room had an excellent heater and was very easy to get warm. The beds were very comfortable.

I can't really think of anything that was bad about the hotel.

Die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht, Das Zimmer lag unter dem Dach und war sehr heiß Wir kamen erst sehr spät von einer privaten Feier, dann war es zu spät, das zu reklamieren.

Ein schönes Wochenende

Das Wochenende hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Essen im Brauhaus und das Frühstück im Hotel waren Mega. Das Hotelzimmer war genau das was wir uns gewünscht haben. Das Personal waren sehr freundlich. Mein Mann bekam auch eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit zum Geburtstag .Im Parkhaus ist eine Baustelle aber uns hat sie nicht gestört. Reparaturen müssen ja gemacht werden.

Die Begrüssung am Abend von einem Mitarbeiter war nicht so toll. Die Erklärung durch das Parkhaus unser Zimmer besser zu erreichen hat sich etwas schwierig gestaltet. Erst nach 2 mal Fragen wurde es uns gezeigt. Das Zimmer war an einer viel befahrene Straße dadurch war es etwas laut.

Für den Preis was besseres erwartet!

Das Hotel liegt Recht zentral und Bus und Bahn sind schnell zu erreichen! Das Frühstück war gut.... eigentlich für jeden was dabei!

Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und benötigt doch eine Renovierung! Wir hatten dreimal Deluxe Zimmer gebucht und die waren OK, aber definitiv nicht Deluxe ! Es gibt überall angefangene Baustelle auf dem Gelände, was denn Blick vom Balkon oder Fenster nicht so schön macht !

Die Nähe zum SChloss und öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel

Ist noch teils eine Baustelle + ab ca. 9:30 h ging dann entweder Lüftungsgerät oder Kälteanlage an, so dass man Schwingungen im Bett verspührte , da wir im hinteren Teil der Hotelanlage ein Zimmer hatten mit den Themen-Zimmern.

Traumhotel ohne Klimaanlage nicht mehr zeitgemäß

Zentrum und alle wichtigen Plätze in Fußreichweite. Badisch Brauhaus ins Hotel integriert. Sehr gutes Frühstück sowohl von der Auswahl als auch von der Qualität her. Sehr aufmerksames Personal am Frühstücksbuffet. Das Hotel erstreckt sich auf den kompletten Bereich zwischen Stephanienstraße und Bismarckstraße - dieser Bereich ist sehr ansprechend gestaltet und sehr ruhig. Auch diejenigen Zimmer, die in diesen Innenhof hinein gehen, sind dann ruhig, wenn nach Schließung des Restaurants das Glasdach zugefahren worden ist.

Die Stephanienstraße ist insbesondere in der Nacht von Samstag auf Sonntag bis in die frühen Morgenstunden von boxengetriebenen Autos mit Soundgenerator befahren, die die ganze Nacht lang Beschleunigungsübungen machen. Vor dem Eingang scheint ein Treffpunkt für lautstarke Gruppengespräche, die ebenfalls bis tief in die Nacht gehen. Das wäre alles halb so schlimm, wenn die Zimmer mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet wären. Die fehlt aber leider. Und diese Zimmer haben riesige Fenster, die nach Süden gehen und bei knapp 30 °C Außentemperatur ein Schlafen bei geschlossenem Fenster nicht ermöglichen. Wir haben noch nie so laute und warme Zimmer gehabt wie in diesem Hotel. Insgesamt scheint bei der Hotelanlage ein ziemlicher Renovierungsbedarf zu herrschen. Ebenfalls war im Gebäude oft ein intensiver Rauchgeruch, weil die Balkone zum Rauchen freigegeben sind .

Was leuk hotel en omgeving

Het was 1 overnachting en dat was prima! Een gezellig hotel waar je ook lekker kon eten.

Klein balkonnetje wat samen met de buren gedeeld werd( de buren hebben we niet gezien) De airco koelde niet de hele kamer
