Great stay

Location was good for our particular plans. Easy to take public transportation.

We arrived around 9pm and couldn't figure out how to enter the building. The entrance door was locked, luckily we found a very nice lady at the beer garden to let us in (many many thanks to her for helping us)

There was a strange smell in the corridor upstairs on the way to the back exit. The staff doesn’t speak English, quite kind though.

The quality of the information we received at the reception was poor. After 5 pm no access to the reception anymore, and we needed a wifi code. Outside of the window there was the AC and it was loud the whole night, when having the window open. Inside there was no AC and it was very hot with a closed window.

large hotel with nobody staying - it was like the Lost City! on arrival rang doorbell 6 times and nobody came - had to go to nearby Biergarten to get help! at checkout had to wait for ages as staff member didn’t seem to know how to work computer!

lots of character. Traditional style. excellent coffee in room. Beer Garden nearby. Friendly nice and helpful reception staff.

Noise from brewery behind from 6 am if window is open Restorant was closed, could only use the beer garden. Large number of TV channels, however only one, CNN was working with a different language. Reception not open all of the time. Limited parking, €10. in the room, guest information states €8.

Can’t complain for the price

Good value for money, and the location suited us. clean, functional. The building design also is quite unique.

The front door wasn’t open, we had to ask to checkin at the neighbouring beer garden. then the route to the rooms was very complex and unnecessary. Strange feeling overall that the place was mostly empty.

Excellent stay. I enjoyed it!

Historical building, the room had a small fridge, a bottle of water was provided to guests.

It felt a little understaffed. It was a bit difficult to get served breakfast in the morning since the person working was also checking guests out and serving everyone in the dining room.

Sehr schön, ich komme wieder.

Besonders zu erwähnen ist die aussergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit des Personals. Auch das zum Hotel dazugehörige Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert wegen seines wirklich guten Essens, der freundlichen Bedienung und den Empfehlungen des Edelbrand-Sommeliers.

Naja

Das Bett war ganz gut.

Sehr in die Jahre gekommen, schimmelnde Fugen in der Dusche, grenzwertiger Duschvorhang, waren mit Kind (angekündigt) in einem winzigen Zimmer wo praktisch kein Platz für das Kinderbett war und die Verdunkelungsvorhänge kleiner als die Fenster waren. Konnten dann das Zimmer wechseln, da fehlten dann die zweite Decke und Handtuch. Also insgesamt sehr, sehr einfach und das passt nicht zum Preis.

Der Aufenthalt war für meinen Zweck absolut in Ordnung.

Die Lage war für meinen Zweck perfekt, da ich an einer Veranstaltung auf dem Hotelgelände teilgenommen habe. Das Gebäude ist sehr imposant. Die Zimmer könnten aber gemütlicher sein.

Die Parksituation ist nicht optimal. Auf der Straße gab es keine verfügbaren Parkplätze. Das Vorfahren zum Entladen ist auch schwierig, weil man dann direkt auf dem Fußweg/Fahrradweg parken muss.

Ein gutes Frühstück ist wichtig

Das Personal war sehr bemüht und aufmerksam.

Im Frühstück gibt es kein Bakon! Das ist sehr schade. Man erzählte mir es wäre gerade ausgegangen. Das war gelogen denn als Stammkunde hab ich mich in diesem Jahr über diesen Standardsoruch schon mehrfach geärgert. Ich denke ich werde das Hotel wechseln!

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, gutes Essen , Fahrstuhl , sehr ordentlich und sauber.

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit leider nur 1 Bettdecke , mussten 2. nachfordern, im Zimmer leider nur 1Stuhl.

Ein Aufenthalt unter den Erwartungen

Vor dem Hotel gibt es zwar kostenlose Parkplätze, aber ob man einen erwischt, ist Glückssache.

Bei der Anmeldung hat das Hotel mir versehentlich das falsche Zimmer zugewiesen – was ich erst bei der Abreise am nächsten Morgen bemerkte. Tatsächlich unterschied sich mein Zimmer völlig von dem, das ich ursprünglich gebucht hatte. Zudem war der Service äußerst mangelhaft: Nach der Schlüsselübergabe erhielt ich keinerlei Hinweise, wie ich mein Zimmer finden könnte, obwohl es sich um eine hotelähnliche Burgstruktur handelt. Die Rezeption befindet sich direkt neben dem Restaurant, und um zum Aufzug zu gelangen, muss man durch den Speisesaal gehen. Da es mir unangenehm war, mein Gepäck vor den Gästen herumzuschleppen, verließ ich das Gebäude zunächst und betrat es später durch einen Seiteneingang, um schließlich meinen schweren Koffer mühsam in den zweiten Stock zu tragen. Den Weg zu meinem Zimmer fand ich nur, weil ich vor 30 Jahren hier einmal gearbeitet und gelebt habe – damals war das Gebäude noch ein ausgezeichnetes deutsches Restaurant. Heute ist die Situation jedoch völlig anders: Das Servicepersonal wirkt, als hätte es keine angemessene Ausbildung erhalten, sondern lediglich einige oberflächliche Einweisungen bekommen.
