A wonderful hotel with excellent breakfast, spacious rooms, and outstanding staff.

We really loved this hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was incredibly tasty and well prepared. The staff was absolutely amazing — very friendly, supportive, and always ready to help. They even helped us receive a delivery directly to the room and made us feel very welcome with pleasant small talk.

A comfortable stay in a great location with genuinely friendly service

Everything was great! The location is perfect — right in the center, just a 2-minute walk from the S-Bahn, close to a department store, grocery shop (Rewe), and plenty of restaurants and cafés. The Wi-Fi worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the room was renovated and very clean. The common areas are a bit worn, but the vintage photos on the walls give it a charming, nostalgic feel. I especially appreciated the warm welcome from the person at reception — he seemed genuinely interested in making sure I had a pleasant stay.

Location-just wished I had known that it was across the street from the Police Station, so that I would have found the hotel sooner. Also, I LOVED that the manager let me check-in early, without charging me, when my room was already available, when I arrived.

Good stay, good location

Very spacious room and clean. Complimentary drinks and snacks. Breakfast was ok, not bad, but very decent. Secure parking available with lots of space. Location was very good as well

The bed was quite stiff. Flies in the breakfast area. The lady at the desk (E.) can really use training regarding customer contact. A bit rude and uninterested attitude. The man that had the shift after her was a lot better and nicer!

We were impressed by the level of Detail to the experience. It had all to offered, from EV chargers to Snacks and availability of toiletries. The staff were very friendly and ready to help and one can not get a better location in the city!

The worse reception I ever had

The morning staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, the room was big, there was a friedge in the room and the shower was powerful.

The receptionist man in the evening treated me very badly. He blocked my entrance already at the door. I asked information about the parking lot, so my husband could park and join me to make the reservation. The man replied with “Our rooms are very expensive, starting in €155. Can you afford that?”. I was shocked bit still said yes and that I could book right away. While walking me away he said that I needed to first do that via booking.com cause with him was not possible. All of this in front of a lady that I think was a guest. I have never felt so humiliated in my entire life. He probably did that because I’m black. Outside the hotel he pointed where my husband could temporarily park, while my husband was doing that he started to curse and saying that was not correct. Only after I showed him the confirmation by booking.com he started to be “nicer”. If my husband and I were not so tired of driving many hours from Switzerland and it was not so late in the evening we would have never stayed in this hotel. Besides that, the bedsheet was very dirty and the slippers were reused from other guests as they were dirty and sticky. We couldn’t order proper pillows or hygiene items as they were not available in the house room and the reception is not 24 hours and the receptionist informed us that he was leaving soon in the moment of the “booking”.

This is by far our favorite Hotel when visiting Karlsruhe. The Hotel is centrally located, rooms of nice size, very clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is wonderfully with maybe choices hot/cold choices. Five star rating!!

Really nice hotel to stay

Good location. AC is really powerful to cool down the room temp.. Sleeping bed is really comfortable and support the back.

parking SOP is not really easy to understand. I have to park on the main road in front of the hotel and unload the luggages, then back to car and follow the staff to the parking area. But the parking area is just next to hotel about 50m...Don't know why people cant just enter the parking area...

Nothing really, I didn't pick up on the parking instructions within the booking so wasn't aware of the facilities provided. However there was ample parking and I parked fro 20 Euros in a car park less than 200 yards away.

One of the best hotel locations and rooms in Karlsruhe

The hotel is at Marktplatz, right at the heart of Karlsruhe. Modern room with good beds, air conditioning and sound proofed from the outside noises. Plenty of hot water, bathtub/ shower properly shielded so no water spillage on the bathroom floor. Breakfast selection was good.

In the room we got, the toilet space is narrow -- nestled between the big sink and the wall. This might be difficult for some guests. The ventilation of the bathroom could be better, there were some black spots on the ceiling.

Great location and nice staff

The breakfast was really good and the staff super nice. The location is in the city centre and you can reach the castle by a 10 minutes walk. Rooms clean and comfortable, there is also a little gym inside the hotel.

The car parking was not for free. We had to spend additional 15 euro to park the car for the night

Great location for a quick overnight. Great for a short stay. Very nice, if limited, service.

Reception was delightful. Parking was easy. Receptionist went out of his way to get us parked, into our room and secure a table on short notice at the fun and lively restaurant attached to the hotel.

Fun and lively restaurant was also very loud and expensive, though the service was fabulous. It was a Friday night in a young college town, so our exhausted family was simply pleased to eat. Hotel room was quite small. Master bed was fine, but pull-out was uncomfortable.
