Great value, friendly staff, central location

Breakfast was great, for adults and for kids. The kids enjoyed making their own waffles with the waffle iron. The heating worked well. There was no noticeable noise from outside when then windows were closed; and when the windows were open, the noise was minimal because there was little traffic and only a streetcar (no trains) passed by once in a while. The room was good size for us three people. We were able to walk to downtown, to the museum ZKM and to the Europahalle stadium all within 30 min. Nice, wide parking spaces were available in a courtyard behind the hotel.

Be aware that the toilet/shower is an integrated "module" like what you might find a budget hotel. It worked fine for us, though, and was not a problem.

Great place to stay with a fantastic location

The room are great, very clean and sound proof. The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic just close to the main train station and a tram stop just in front of the hotel

The fact that house keeping passes very early before 8:00h in the morning and they do not leave any hand towel, only a bath towel that is a bit small.

For budget stay it is OK

Position is very good, close to station with tram stop next to the building. The buffet breakfast was excellent.

The toilet flash was not working properly. We report to reception. It was fixed but toilet water was running without stopping. Air condition was not working and was not fixed.

Just an overnight stop for us but a great location for exploring Karlsruhe

Room although at platform level and overlooking the station was very quiet. Breakfast area was chilled and nice and relaxed with the option of outside seating

A reasonable price for an overnight stay with breakfast

Better than expected for this price and better than some other Ibis hotels I have used. It is quiet, close to the station and excellent for a one-night stoppover on the way to final destination. Also good as a base for short local rail trips in southern Germany. Breakfast was good (adequate) they provide trays and hot food as well as buns, etc.

I can't think of anything to criticise, given the reasonable price charged. An evening meal would be a useful addition.

Another great stay in a beautiful city based on this clean, comfortable and well-located hotel.

We have stayed before at the Ibis - it is the location which is great as we can catch a tram to our daughter's flat from outside the front door! And we can get to the station so easily from where we have taken many trips thanks to the local ticket offer. We did not need to use any restaurant facilities at the hotel.

It was close to the train station and in front of a tram station. So it is convenient in terms of transportation. Generally it is ok for 1-2 nights but not more.

The disadvantage of being located in front of a busy tram station is the fact that there is an annoying sound from trams that sometimes can wake you up! Breakfast was not a value for money. The rooms were very cold and the heating cannot be controlled.

Excellent location and good amenities

Room was confortable and functional. Location was perfect, just hop off the train and you are at the hotel. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel. Staff super friendly. Lounge area with bar was an added bonus. I was worried about the noise when I saw that my room overlooked the train platforms but it's actually less noisy that road traffic. It must be well insulated.
