Good place in the center of Karlsruhe

Central location, breakfast was good (but not great), room was clean but a bit old. The hotel definitely has it's unique spirit, and everything is fair and according to the price.

The hotel needs a renovation, though it's not critical for now

Great classic hotel near city centre

Great hotel near centre of the city. Handy underground parking (probably not suitable for wide cars). Lovely variety of classic decor around the hotel including a nice outdoor area and various breakfast rooms. Room was large and comfy. Great huge TV. Sparkling water in room. Breakfast was excellent with a vast choice of items.

There were none of the usual instructions in the room; but we didn't comment on this. We found an open wifi called 'LAN1' but it was slow and probably insecure so we just used 5G.

Okay but needs a lot improvement in different areas

The central location, friendliness of the staff

The advertised parking is extremely tight and bendy towards the exit with a very narrow final exit. Almost impossible with bigger cars, in my case Porsche Taycan, and stressful. The hotel is a weird mix of old and new, the soap and body wash/shampoo comes from a dispenser with cheap and out of place looking advertisement for the attached restaurant/beer house. Several areas are a construction zone. Even though I did not put out the sign for cleaning my room it was cleaned, even though I left the towels up on the towel radiator they were changed. Because of that I had 6 towels over the 4 days and for the next guest they obviously need to be changed again bringing the total to 8 towels, an absolute waste.

My room was definitely not representative of the pictures showed on the website. Old and stained green carpet. Cracked toilet. Walls could need paint.

The room was clean but under the bed isn't vacuumed, it was extremely dusty and I'm lucky that my allergies didn't act up. Everything else was fine.

It is our favourite place to stay in Karlsruhe, The beds are very comfortable, room is always clean and the sound isolation is the biggest upside for a day of rest from two small kids. the location is also very comfortable, most of the places we visit during our stay are easily and quickly reachable on foot.

I have no complaints. It is a very lovely place to stay.

I stayed in this hotel already 2 times and will definitely come back. Friendly reception. Rooms have everything you need. Interior of the hotel is reminds art museum. This is good classic German hotel. Furniture is not new but it checks out. Big plus - hotel's parking area.

The personnel was kind and helpful; the breakfast was nice; the hotel however is not well maintained

The location was good and the personnel kind and helpful.

I was happy to have an older hotel run by a family. However, I needed to change rooms because I was allergic to the mold and dust in the first room. I was moved to another "allergenic" room which was much better but I could still smell mold. Access to the free wifi from the second room was poor. Generally speaking the hotel is old and not well taken care of, with unfinished building projects, etc...

Great stay

Hotel was a great location, friendly staff, nice room with work space, excellent choice at breakfast and the brauhaus restaurant was delicious and good on prices. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed in a superior room with bath and shower, the shower was at the dip end of the bath and found it to be quite slippy.
