Not bad for a short stay, not so good for a longer one.

Well situated without doubt. Parking in the underground.

Room was relatively small and dark. The shower was slippery and the shampoo was empty (this was corrected the day after). TV system to my opinion difficult to understand at least if you aren't a geek and want to spend more than 5 minutes to understand it. I haven't succeeded to find a foreign channel, for example a french TV channel from neighbouring France, 20km away? We have taken our breakfast late and found the the buns always quite humid especially the 'Laugenweck', not crispy at all. For 3 nights incl. parking I payed 528 Euro, not such a good value for money.

The location is good, the rates are reasonable, the room comfortable, and breakfast very good.

Breakfast was very good and staff were good. The rooms, generally, were well laid out and efficient with the space.

The shower floor was extremely slippery and other members of our family said the same thing. Also, I wasn't expecting the television to be timed out and tried to fix it for at least a half an hour. I could get sound but not the picture and thought it was broken. Had I known in advance the television was timed to go out/off, I would not have waisted time trying to fix the problem or restart the television to work.

Brilliant place to stay in this gem of a town

I liked everything, from the warm welcome, to the comfort of my room. The carpark (which I had read was small and difficult to navigate) was simply normal, though I must admit visibility coming up out was somewhat restricted!. There are charging points for electric cars - which worked on my Chargemap card. The bed was comfortable in my room, and there is air-conditioning if you want it. Breakfast was ample and of an excellent standard. As I was travelling with my dog, they arranged a private corner to the side of the reception desk for me, which worked very well - thank you! Finally the wifi was very good, and the situation of the hotel is ideal for visiting this exceptionally beautiful little town. Very highly recommended.

Excellent!

Just around the corner from O’Neils Irish Pub and the pizzeria in the courtyard had the best calzones and friendly staff. Right in the heart of the old town it was walking distance to the grocery store. Very comfortable and the breakfast was a bonus!

Breakfast was nice and personel friendly.

Several spiders webs in the room + spider. Was easy to remove, but had not been done. Room looked very outdated. Room did not smell fresh. It all gave an unhygienic feeling about the room.

Superb

As already mentioned the staff, rooms, breakfast and location were excellent. They have a covered garage where you can park your car. We only stayed the one night but would certainly recommend this hotel.

Convenient, comfortable hotel with a good breakfast

Our room was in an annex to the hotel and was perfectly adequate. The hotel was not serving an evening meal and suggested we try one of the many restaurants close by. Only an Italian restaurant was open but we preferred something more German. In the end, we found a great pub which served food which was very good, as was the beer! The hotel has an underground car park, so parking was easy and secure.

I hadn't realised that the underground car park cost €9, but that was my fault as I did not read the information properly.

A second pillow would have helped. Shower curtain a little narrow but did protect the floor. Lockable drawer wouldn't lock (room 424)

Superb

Full breakfast included with a wonderful selection. Location is perfect depending on what you are looking for. It's in the heart of town so short walk to reach shopping and restaurants. Keep in mind shops close early on Saturday and do not open Sunday so pretty quiet in old town.

The lack of air conditioning/a fan in the room made sleep next to impossible in the very hot weather

Breakfast was fantastic! Location within Ettlingen was perfect, and I was able to easily walk to everything. Room was quiet and I was able to relax.

I will never understand why German hotels aren't air conditioned or at least provide fans in guest's rooms, especially as global warming is causing significantly hotter weather in the summer. For the length of my stay, I was unable to sleep well because of the unbearable heat. When one comes to a hotel to sleep and relax----and is unable to do so because the hotel can't provide a comfortable space to do so---it makes me think twice about staying there again. I also found the entry area of the facility across the street, where I stayed, to be very unwelcoming. There was no light in the foyer, and the whole area was dark, undecorated and very uninviting.
