A true gem with genuine charm, history and great service

Warm welcome and great service in general, we were given a card to use on local activities - many for free! We could choose rooms upon arrival after looking at the 2 different options they had. Good WiFi and breakfast. Nice view and big rooms. Great facilities; pool, sauna, pool table....

We had to wait alot in the restaurant when we had dinner - and the wine was forgotten, however the food was tasty. The sting flies in the pool area scared our our youngest boy.

Very friendly and flexible staff. The rooms were freshly renovated and clean. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice, very good tea. Location was perfect for us, just few minutes by car to GletscherJet parking.

Delightful family hotel in Kaprun

Fantastic breakfast buffet and excellent kitchen (Tiroler Gröstl done to perfection). Friendly staff. The Geberit shower was excellent; bed room rustic in look yet modern. Pool across the road Close to major attractions - Kaprun lakes and cable cars and the Klamm (a stunning canyon) is just a short walk away. Best of all the hotel is linked to the Kaprun/Zell summer card - so many attractions are free - such as cable cars and the Kaprun dams. This a major bonus!

Nothing really - the site is perhaps a bit constrained between the river and the road - but you don't notice this once inside

Lovely hotel with fantastic food!

We really enjoyed our stay, one night was too short, we'd love to go back sometime! The hotel is very welcoming, clean and serves excellent food. We enjoyed our evening meal there and the breakfast was fantastic! The outdoor pools are a nice bonus and our room was at the back by the river so it was quiet and cool on a hot weekend! A nice gentle stroll into Kaprun took maybe 15mins so great location for us.

Will certainly come back!

Visited this property during Summer. Conveniently located just outside the busy part of the town but still within walking distance of all shops or restaurants. Ample free parking space available. Nice and typical Austrian-style building, balconies with flowers and wood interior. Some rooms have a renovated bathroom with a big walk-in shower, others have a bathtub (lacking a shower curtain unfortunately). Rooms are more than large enough with comfortable beds. Room was cleaned every day and supplied with fresh towels. The breakfast buffet was superb with not enough days in one's holiday to taste everything. Ate dinner at the property twice: lots of choices, friendly staff and almost no waiting times. The wellness/sauna area is located underground and at the other side of the street, but easily accessible by an understreet-passage. The sauna area itself is also great: 3 saunas, steambath, showers and lounge seats and direct access to the outdoor swimming pools (one heated and one not heated).

The swimming pool sundeck is a litte neglected with some weeds growing in between the floor tiles. It could use a cleanup and the placing of some colorful flowers will do miracles.

Great Hotel in a paradisiac place.

( comment for summer period) Authentic Lovely Austrian hotel by the river , breakfast was a buffet with a lot of choice, restaurant is great ( ranked #4 on Trip Advisor, categorie local cuisine) you have to book in the morning if you need a table in the evening espcecially if you will plan diner "a l Autrichienne"... very early ( if not in 1/2 pension) , people at the reception were great and helping. We enjoy so much that we have booked an extra night. And the must is ..for each guest they give you the "Sommercard" which allow you to have all local bus+all lift of Kaprun and Schmitten+Zell Lake beaches + acces to high altitude dam via bus and more....ALL FOR FREE.. this make a great savings for your stay budget if you are with the family. and I forget ... the swimming pool and spa area which is paradise after a day of hicking or biking. At the end you have a kind of "all inclusive" package which make this hotel at an attractive price. I love this place. Merci

If you like the gadget in the bathroom conditionner, gel, moisture or the notebook the pencil on the desk or mini bar forget.... then forget!. Our Wifi at the 3rd floor was a bit weak . But..meine Got!!... you are there to live outside , in the nature , far from the superficial things of our cities ( and also bad for the planet because a lot of trash with these individual packaging ).

Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, Frühstück sehr lecker, das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Das Frühstücksbuffet hat eine umfangreiche, frische Auswahl mit diversen Semmeln/Brot, Aufschnitt, Käse, Obst, Gemüse, Müsli, Konfitüre, Ei, Speck, Säften und Heißgetränken. Direkt vor dem Hotel befindet sich die Haltestelle für den Shuttle zur Gletscherbahn, die Fahrt dauert knappe 10 Minuten.

Im Badezimmer gab es nur eine Badewanne ohne Duschabtrennung oder zumindest Duschvorhang. Um eine Überschwemmung des Bades zu umgehen, muss man sich in die Wanne knien oder hocken und sich sehr umsichtig abduschen. Der Ausstieg aus der höher gelegenen Wanne ist ebenfalls etwas schwierig. Die Matratzen liegen leider nicht IN einem Rahmen sondern darauf und verrutschen dadurch sehr leicht.

Ideal für ein Ski-Wochenende

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, auch das Abendessen a la carte war sehr schmackhaft. Die Lage zum Skigebiet Kaprun und Schmittenhöhe ist ideal... jeweils nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto. WIr haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne irgendwann mal wieder.

Der Wellnessbereich ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Prima en fijn verblijf als ik weer naar Kaprun ga boek ik weer bij deze accomodatie

Zeer goede locatie. Op loop afstand van het centrum C.a 5 min. Vriendelijk personeel en alles in de vakantie modes. Het ontbijt was prima en genoeg keuze van alles.

Es war eun kurzer schöner Aufenthalt

Gute Lage. Das Familiär geführte Hotel und das Essen war sehr gut. Die 2 Damen beim Frühsück waren etwas unfreundlich. Aber wir würden wieder kommen.

Tische beim Morgenbuffett mit Zimmernummer belegen.
