Amazing stay. Great location and facilities for the 70.3 Ironman in Zell. Staff were exceptional and very helpful. Facilities were great. Breakfast had everything you could need. Parking underground costs £12 per night but worth it to save faff. We were late on the first evening due to a late flight and they rang us and asked if we wanted a meal played up - it was one of the best ham and cheese boards we’ve ever had! The free pass was great and meant we could explore more or Austria at minimal cost too.

Dinner choices were a little limited but still good.

The hotel is exceptionally clean and in an excellent location. The staff are very friendly and attentive to every detail. The food is excellent, with a great variety of options for both breakfast and dinner, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. Children also have their own menu, with a variety of dishes every day, including pizza. One of the guests mentioned in the reviews that they could hear noise from the hallway in their room. However, we did not have that experience at all. There was absolutely no noise, and we could not hear anything from the other rooms or the hallway. Although we stayed during the hottest time of the year, it was more than comfortable to sleep without air conditioning. Truly a lovely hotel that is a pleasure to stay at. We would gladly return again.

Staff weren’t very well trained - possibly some interns. We stayed for 4 nights and no waiter - we had a different one every evening - told us that there was a kids menu until I found out when checking out. Food in the evening was quite nice for adults but a bit too fancy for kids - my ten year old ate very little in the evening. Also staff misadvised us on the first day that we needed to take a bus to the Kitzsteinhorn station the gondola lifts from there whereas there was a gondola that could take you to the same spot at Kitzsteinhorn just literally 50 m away from the hotel. The waffle machine had a broken handle - basically it had a tiny plastic chip left - I burned my hands and I’m not sure how children were supposed to handle it. I might be picky but there was only whole milk - no semi-skimmed or soya/nuts milk. No tea at dinner (at breakfast you have to request it separately as there is only a coffee machine). And for British tourists - no kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the room. The room overall was really hot although the heating was off.
