The Rock Hotel , very good location close to the shops and pubs ,close to the beach. Friendly staff. The food was good to.

We were given an incredibly warm welcome by a young gentleman who was really really friendly and who told us where we were able to park. The same chap served us at the bar (great Aperol Spritz by the way!) and also for our evening meal - he was very busy but still served us with patience and with a smile, he was the same with everyone. The location of this is hotel is perfect, right on the sea right in the centre of Lynmouth. We had a sea view room and woke up to hear the sea in the morning which is exactly what I had hoped for! The bed was so comfortable I could have slept for week! The staff in the morning were, once again, impeccably friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was beautiful and had good choices and options for us (my husband is vegetarian). Nothing was too much trouble - I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet peaceful stay in a beautiful and scenic location.

The location was very good.
The bar & restaurant was closed so we had to walk to the Rising Sun for a drink & our breakfast, fortunately it wasn't raining! We didn't like having to pay an extra £10 because we had our dog with us.
