Rockvale House

Exceptional hospitality in a lovely atmosphere! Rockvale House was one of those places where everything simply felt right. Ness & Phil, our hosts were wonderfully warm, cheerful and attentive, yet always professional. Their genuine hospitality created an exceptionally friendly and relaxed atmosphere throughout our stay. The room was beautiful and very comfortable, and the breakfast was outstanding – delicious, generous and prepared with obvious care and attention. Above all, we appreciated the personal warmth of our hosts. We felt genuinely welcome rather than simply being guests at an accommodation. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in Lynton and a place we can recommend without hesitation. We would love to come back!

Most amazing, lovely and accommodating hosts, who made sure everything was just perfect for us. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was great with homemade toast and jams!

The house is a bit outdated.

Absolutely fantastic. Very comfortable room location was amazing. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous a great variety.

The hosts were really lovely and very helpful. The sitting room and bar were beautifully decorated rooms to sit and relax in. The bar having a lovely view and a big sofa to curl up in. The dining room was also light and airy. The food was perfect; beautifully and freshly cooked (unless plant-based then it was limited)

The room was a disappointing due to being in the eaves with the beams restricting ease of movement around the room. The floor measurement online seemed adequate and the beams were included in the pictures online. However it wasn't clear just how restricted it would be. The bedroom was on the cool side but we were given a small heater which we used. The ensuite was also limited although as described, however was incredibly cold despite the heater being on in the bedroom. To get to the additional bathroom where we could stand up to shower was a great but the short walk to an 'ensuite' across the shared landing not ideal. Especially taking the cost of our stay into consideration. With regard to food - plant based options were limited although provided.
