It was right on the seafront and close to everything
The double bed was a small double so found it hard to sleep with my partner who’s over 6ft and the dog- could do with some new pillows as well as they were very lumpy.
Think it’s a lot what they charge for a dog a night as well

Excellent breakfast. Good choice and good portions
Everything was excellent

A wonderful quirky building. Tasteful decor throughout and beautiful rooms. Fab location , a stones throw from the water.
A really nice quirky bar area with great shipping artifacts and octopuses. Nice open fire as well. Good mussels as well .
I feel breakfast selection was a little underwhelming. The orange juice left a nasty aftertaste which made me think my egg was off. It wasn't. All cooked very well ,although scrambled egg was rather to well cooked. Presented well .

A lot of effort in the room decorating and the common areas were out of a 30/40’s movie set.
Room was not serviced / cleaned during our stay

Room was very small but clean and tidy. Lacking a bit in storage space for 2 cases so one was kept in the bathroom. Bathroom was clean with toiletries provided.
Neither my partner or I managed a hot shower during our 2 days stay and were informed that this was due to the hotel being full, not a great start to the day!
Breakfast was included and there was plenty of continental available. On the second day the kitchen had run out of some of the items for the cooked breakfast which was disappointing. I personally found the dining room to be quite cold as the main doors were often left open onto the main hallway and hotel entrance.
The hotel was well presented and the décor was with in keeping of a harborside venue.
The staff at the hotel and also the the adjoining oud were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area and local services. All the staff worked hard to make sure the place was always clean and tidy and regularly checked if we had everything we needed.
The location is beautiful with several walks starting from the hotel and the harbour is very pretty at night.
Our room was at the top of a flight of stairs with a heavy fire door right outside. People often stopped here on the landing for a chat which I found a little intrusive as every word of conversation could be heard.
The room was very hot and we had to have the window open, including overnight.

Good location in middle of lynmouth
General areas of hotel are dated, bathroom was tatty & there is no room tidy service that’s available in most hotels. It is more like a pub with rooms. Breakfast limited and room very cold. Staff are friendly

We had a lovely welcome from the staff, who were all very friendly, especially Maddie. We stayed in Monkey Island which was fabulous. Beautiful sea views and harbour lights. Lovely to have a bath looking out at them after getting drenched on a walk to Watersmeet.
The weather was awful but we had a lovely stay anyway!

We had a fantastic couple of nights at the Bath hotel. Our room was very stylish, quirky and great fun - take a look at their website. We stayed in "Monkey Island" which had a panoramic view of the river, harbour and sea. The food was very good with a choice of eating in the pub or the restaurant - we tried both and they were very enjoyable. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay.
Out and about there are some of the most stunning coastal and valley walks in the UK.
We will be returning.

Location of the Hotel is perfect, no carpark, not a problem in November but could be in the summer. Although there are public car parks not far away.
The room was always lovely and warm and cozy, which we appreciated as some hotels are a bit stingy with the heating in the winter.
The cooked breakfast was fine although the bacon was a little overdone for my taste.
Just the bacon being a little tough to eat.

The hotel is beautiful and so well looked after. The decor is relaxing, yet fun and very well thought out.
All of the staff we encountered on our one night stay were so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in 'The Artist' was perfect for us and it was stylish, comfortable and so clean. The views from our balcony was just the icing on the cake.

Location by river mouth/sea lovely and street parking available very nearby overnight, despite the busy time of year. 'Quirky' room was fine, with a few interesting touches. Nice and clean, comfy bed and pillows. Bathroom and shower also good. Liked the help-yourself fridge supplies of fresh milk and bottles of water in the corridor nearby. Breakfast was excellent, good range of fruits and cereal, hot dishes prepared to order and generous amounts of tea and coffee. Very comfortable, relaxing stay with friendly, helpful staff. Hope to return for longer next time.
Nothing! Worth noting that the hotel is a rambling building and some rooms are a good trek up and down stairs - all part of the charm and the lady that booked us in was keen to carry our heavy bag.

Its location in Lynmouth.
Unhelpful and potentially dishonest. My wife left an item in the room, despite one member of staff confirming its location, another member of staff denied its recovery. Despite repeated phone calls and an assurance of a follow up we heard nothing. Will never recommend this hotel and will never stay again.

Fantastic room in a wonderful location. The staff were wonderful - extremely attentive and very helpful.
There was no lift and, on the second floor, an enormous number of stairs. Being an old property, the ceilings are very high - so 20 stairs per level!
The food was average, except on Sunday when the roast lamb dinner was dreadful. The lamb was thin cut, overdone and stringy; the vegetables were underdone - almost impossible to cut. Breakfast was mostly buffet, with the usual result of lukewarm food. However you could order fresh cooked poached or scrambled eggs.

Nice and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Especially Sam who went out of her way to be helpful and friendly .
Room very nice but unable to close window which did make the room cold.

The hotel was clean and room nice size. Food is lovely and they are happy to help with any needs you may have.
My only grip is there wasn’t really any proper hanging space my dress couldn’t hang free of chair.

Food was very good. A greater choice of evening meal would be welcome.

Location. Range of local catering. Temporary parking (when we found it).
Slightly eccentric room.
No lift up two flights but there is no room. We were a bit feeble.
Why was the second day more expensive than the first.

New staff member at reception sent the wrong message, a smile goes along way and direction to room would have helped as it was difficult to find but a wonderful lady working between rooms upstairs helped with my bag & showed me the way
Only one receptionist set the break off to a sad start
The hotel felt empty with little use of the other communal areas or a person to welcome you back into the hotel after a day out etc
Could have been useful to have signposting to milk & water bottles these not found until the second day

Lovely comfy furniture with plush colourful decor. We stayed in the monkey island room which had the best view over looking the harbour. We were provided a fan for the room which was really worth it as the windows can only be opened a little. We also had dinner there, a bit of a wait as they were short staffed, but a lovely environment, so just relaxed. Well worth the wait as the steak was amazing, perfectly cooked veg too. The staff were friendly and worked hard to make it a good experience. 5*breakfast to!
Due to space in the bathroom, it’s a small shower, which was a shame, but there is a copper bath in the room if you prefer!
It would have been nice to have a mirror above or next to the dressing table for doing make up.
