    The nights were silent and the room was warm. The beds were comfortable and the shower and toilet facilities were spotless. Breakfast was fantastic each morning and the real ales and pool table downstairs were great for when the weather was being British. Location is fantastic and I recommend the apple crumble! The owners are lovely.

    We stayed for two nights and were given a top floor room (although it wasn't the one we booked, it had plenty of space for what we needed). The room felt like it hadn't been properly cleaned. There was dirt and debris from previous travellers next to the bedside table (including a bracelet bead, a tiny plastic duck and an empty laxative wrapper!), there were hot drink stains on the plugs and wall near the kettle, the toilet brush was filthy, as was the rim of the toilet! One of the old wooden windows didn't seal properly and was very drafty. Overall the room and general decor of the guest area felt dated, tired and a bit spartan On the plus side, the breakfast was tasty and the location was convenient. Although they don't have a car park, there is plenty of free parking nearby and spaces outside for guests. There was a decent sea view from the window and the beds were comfortable. For nearly *** a night, the state of the room was very disappointing and was a real let-down for our trip
