The hotel provided exactly what we required for this short visit

Good initial meeting with reception, all information given clearly. Room was clean and comfortable and fitted our needs, especially as we have a dog. Breakfast was good with a selection of meals available

We had a great holiday in a lovely period property right in the heart of Minehead

The Beach Hotel is a very attractive period property in a brilliant location. We had one of the large corner rooms that had a sea view. It was lovely seeing the sun rise and set on the horizon. The hotel is close to all the amenities Minehead has to offer and there is plenty to do in the area. The breakfasts are exceptional with fantastic vegetarian options that my daughters loved because “they weren’t trying to be a non-meat imitation, they were a unique dish”. Lots of choice on the breakfast menu which suited even the picky eater in our group. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying there again. Loved it!

It was a bit annoying that they insist on filling out your following day breakfast order but then there is often no one around to take the order. Could you not just give the forms for the next day out at breakfast and maybe a box to return them to? A large tree right outside the window of two of rooms blocked out most of the daylight but I guess there’s not much the hotel can do about that.

very enjoyable and relaxing

All the staff we met were friendly and amenable The view from our room, over the heritage railway station, the beach and sea, off into empty skies. The breakfasts were great, with varied options The hotel had a relaxing environment (obviously the staff were working hard to ensure that)

It wasn't a dislike, but in the interest of the review, a dripping shower that others had moaned about. However, this was easily resolved by adjusting the selection lever on the tap, to allow the drip to leave the tap and not the showerhead

All is excellent that's why we like coming again and again. Everything is 10/10 and we noticed at this time of year how warm and cosy it was . Always perfect

All of our stay ,nothing was a problem . We wouldn't stay anywhere else in this are and have recommended it to others who have enjoyed it also .

The Hotel reflected the underfunded tired seaside town, with intoxicated men huddled along the seafront.

The property was welcoming and friendly

The locks on the room were loose and not secure. There was no adequate secure parking The stairs were inadequate for our pram The stairs were not conducive to carry luggage up 2 flights.

Close to station and beach and shops. Staff friendly. Room clean and good facilities. Lovely breakfast.

Can be noisy at night at front due to people wandering back from pubs down town. Room was a little hot so had to ask for a fan. No lift in hotel so top floor with case was done by member of staff . I have hip issue so struggled with stairs. No evening restaurant but there are plenty down town .

Everything! The location was perfect. The room was well equipped and comfortable with a lovely view of the sea front. The staff were all great and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious and even our dogs were given a sausage at breakfast.

We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend!

We loved the room. It was spacious and clean and we got a lovely sea view. We got an assortment of teas coffee biscuits and water in our room. The breakfast was excellent. We had a full English breakfast and it was cooked to perfection. Very hot and fresh and presented well! There were also croissants and cereals. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Friendly staff. Location.

No one in reception took half an hour to get booked in. Cook didn't turn up one day, so no cooked breakfast that day. Run out of breakfast items on one day, so limited options. Fire doors wedged open.

The hotel was situated in a great place by the steam railway and the beach. Our room had a view of both and a small balcony . All the staff were lovely and friendly and the room was lovely and clean

I loved the location the room was very clean and the view was beautiful

There was a team member I asked about the parking found her not very friendly when I arrived on the fri young receptionist was lovely on the sat morning me and my son went for breakfast and the lady who was rude to me didn't even ask hiw the breakfast was as she asked the other customers if she needed anything and didn't ask me or My son so wasn't happy with her attitude she was in her late 50s slum built and with glasses the sun morning she was un the kitchen when I went down for breakfast I found her abrupt she was negative and no smile the young lady blue top and brown hair was lovely she also had classes bur was disappointed in the service by this female

Right next to the steam railway.

Right next to the West Somerset Railway, we could even watch the station from our room. Staff did their best for us. We needed to extend to a 4th night. They allowed us to keep our same room after at first saying we couldn't

The bed was very uncomfortable. Large dip in the mattress, bar was closed at 8.30pm so unable to get a drink. Limited parking. The TV was miniscule.
